We have one running around with massive wheel spacers, massive fiberglass and a prerunner bumper. All bone stock otherwise. That too is hilarious.

Same here. Not sure how well they’d do offroad around here and not as compact as a Tacoma, but just an interesting comparison. Not to mention 37’s are a stock option.

It would make easier work of some stuff at the homestead…would pull a trailer and truggy more comfortably than the taco, too.

That always reminds me of the skit from SNL. The one where the guy always said, "Look at what I can do."

    Stock-ish
Adding onto motor mount/tranny mount convo, I've also got into a conversation with the Solid guys and other people about only running motor mounts, and Solid said he's never had a problem only running motors. But, its a bad idea as sad above. Tcase will be trying to torque off of the motor, and youll end up breaking the motor mounts off of the frame, dealing with loose bellhousing/tcase to tranny bolts, and so on. Back when I had a rig with duals, I ended up twisting the Tcases off of the tranny. Doubted, 99% of the brocoma guys will never have their rigs in super high stress situations, especially with high gears, no duals, and an auto.

Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate the fab work as aluminum tubing sucks to work with and they did a nice job... I just will never understand the point of a snorkel

I know I’m beating a dead horse, but I’m absolutely blown away by how much difference there is after boxing the frame. I hit the trails at the house, hauled a trailer and everything is so much better.

If my halfass fab job netted good results I can only imagine what @81Trekker will come up with. I think that’s the most underrated thing going on right now and I’m excited to see what you come up with, Harry.

I actually ordered a dimple die set last night because I intend to box and brace the frame before caging. I figure its all gotta mean something. Maybe its over kill, maybe its not.
