Heck yeah, welcome to team green!

 

So how’s everyone’s leather seats holding up?
Any good cleaning and conditioning tips?

Also I learned today that a synthetic material called softex is the material in the center of the seats and the outer edges were the only thing made of actual leather.
Wondering whether to use different products on the different parts of the seats? Curious to how some of the perfectionists in this group care for theirs?

Coilovers arrived today! Smoothies are still about a month out. Hoping to get everything installed after Thanksgiving.

 

Damn that looks good! Was it easy to install? Good to know no trimming was needed.

2 weeks in, and my truck is set up just the way I want it... here's a little "before and after"...

Visible:
-Removed the OEM tube steps (already sold on Facebook Marketplace)
-Removed the "Tacoma" and "V6" badges
-Added Line-X to the rocker panels

Not Visible:
-Removed the plastic cover from the top of the engine
-Removed the OEM door edge guards (if anyone wants them, they're all yours for not much more than the cost of shipping)
-Added paint protection film on the front of the hood and fenders, under the door handles, and across the ridge on the tailgate
-Added Seat Jackers on the driver's seat

 

Love those headlights! Installing an aftermarket set this weekend on mine.

 

It was easy, was able to install it by myself. Winch also fit perfect without having to relocate the control pack.

 

Had to work in the field today so got to do a little bit of very light trail riding. Weather was perfect.

 

Seems like gas mileage is better since installing the TRD pro exhaust? I’ve heard it’s not possible to increase gas mileage with the pro exhaust but in my 4WD OR DC - sure seems like it’s helped.

If anyone knows of one, I’m all ears! My impression is that it’s just there because that’s what people expect to see under the hood these days.

Take a look under your cover sometime and see what you think. All you have to do is lift the front, which is held down by two little ball-and-socket friction clips. With those free, it hinges on two more friction clips at the back, which pop off with a gentle tug. There’s a little insulation on the bottom of the cover to keep it from melting over the engine block, and nothing particularly exciting underneath.

 

GOAT armor arrived last week, just put it on today. Me likee.

 

I think it helps with suppressing some engine noise. That insulation under it is noise suppressing I believe. For that reason, I’d always leave it on unless I need to remove it for maintenance.

 

Really thinking about picking up some. Looks good, and functional. I just wish they made a multi-cam version.

How strong is the adhesion? I've heard stories of it flying off while driving. Although I dont think they were meant to be on at high speeds.

 

I'll find out today, driving on the highway for a few hours. But generally it seems strong.

They can make any pattern you want (for more $$ of course)

Made it down I-81 for a couple hours at 75 mph, all the pieces are still there, so far so good.
