I don't have full length MOLLE panels, but I do have the Rough Country ones (which are about 3/4 length). I can confirm that there are no conflicts between the panels and the locking bars to the rear of the cover. If the panels were full length, I would think the amount of adjustment in the front locking bars would also overcome any conflict with the mounting points of the panels in the front. The clamps end up fitting pretty tight against the panels, but they are super snug and secure. Just makes it a little more difficult to install/remove the clamps with a ratchet, since the panel is all up in your business.

If you plan to run either of the crossbins, those will conflict with the MOLLE panels. The bins fit very snug. I actually had to cut a couple of inches off the front of my RC MOLLE panels to allow enough clearance for my 8" crossbin.

Here's what a rep for DB had to say in response to my question...

"Thanks for reaching out. This will depend on how the panels are mounted and if you are mounting to the bed rails or to the actual cover. All our our covers are mounted flush to the top of your truck's bed rails. The locking mechanisms, which sit directly below the lock handles, will extend roughly 2" below the bed rails at these locations. If your MOLLE panels do not interfere with the tops of the bed rails or clamps/locking rods, this should not be a problem."

The MOLLE panels from AOD Fab also tie in to the rails, so no matter how I slice it there will most likely be some canoodling required to get everything to work together. S'ok. I am fairly certain it is all doable.

Looks like the mounting points of that one are adjustable. In @JFanaselle image you can see the rear brackets that are installed for the rear locks. Those should not cause any issues with mounting molle panel. The front lock rods are about 4" away from front of bed. As long as you set those adjustable mounting brackets in front or behind where the rods slide into the bed rail you should be good.

    Question for you Diamondback owners

Would it be possible if you were out say home Depot or whatever and you need tall full access to the bed to haul something, could you loosen the bolts holding the cover and have both panels open and slide all the way up to the cab?
Similar to a Bak cover being opened all the way to the cab.

I know it's easy to open just one half but thinking full access.

Also how big is each panel on a short bed? Didn't see any measurements on the website for short bed one panel folded back 180? Basically Max. Tall storage from tailgate to centre panel.

I've had OEM cover for 5 years now and it's falling apart and I'm sick of how much it leaks. Thinking of getting something else. Diamondback is under consideration.

Probably that would work but in the three years I've had the Diamondback I've never felt the need to remove it. I've stacked up purchases from Home Depot, moved a ton of furniture, hauled piles of garbage, and carted around loads of softball gear all by strapping everything on top of the cover. I keep all my gear that I want to keep protected from the rain in the bed and throw everything else on top.

I keep an electronic right angle (90degree) impact wrench in my truck, they have much cheaper options(used it twice for flats too). But I can pull my tent off, or the entire cover in 30 seconds. With a ratchet I wouldn’t bother taking off the top but it used to take me about 2 minutes to remove it. If it’s only going to happen maybe 1 or 2 times a year I wouldn’t let it sway your decision. These tops are legit and it’s amazing what I can stack on the HD. I’m still trying to convince my dad to drive his side by side up on top of it, you know, for the “gram”.

The removal isn't swaying me, I'm probably about 75% there going to buy it.

It's just the winter coming, North of the wall, and that price once converted to loonies.

But I'm leaning more towards the SE as I am certain I would never be putting that much weight on it.

I don't trust the bed sides to handle it. After seeing my buddy's bed side cave in off road from a cap and RTT.

Anyone have issues with mold growing under their cover?

I have it on my bed mat. I had minimized most leaks, but it seems to just have too much moisture in a closed area. I have contacted Diamondback’s customer service and they have offered a replacement or a return but I feel like this problem will keep happening. I love this cover too, so it’s hard for me to return it.

I have the SE it keeps most water out but still gets some water. I try to open the cab side at least a little to air/dry to prevent mold when I can.

Diamondback has sent me extra silicone, and some shims to put under bedside caps. Despite any drawbacks I love the lid and I’m learning to adapt to any issues.

Any key places to be on the lookout for mold under the cover?

On the cover, on the bedside, on the bedmat for example?

I haven't noticed anything yet but mine does a decent job of not letting water in.

The mold was on my bed mat. Hasn’t grown anywhere else yet but it hasn’t been raining that long here. Much more rain to come so I am concerned. I was able to identify most leaks and seal them off last month but I think there will still be moisture in a closed space to create mold. I found a hanging closet moisture absorber so I put that under the cover to see if that helps. I would rather not return it but if this keeps happening I don’t feel like it’s that practical.

Going to have my DB color matched, therefore... how much work is it to remove the cleats & locking handles?

Did most here have their covers drop shipped to home or work? (I have a S/R dock where I work, so thankfully delivery isn't an issue.)

I had my cover shipped to my work so I wouldn’t have to be home for the shipment and I would have access to a forklift. We used the forklift to put it in my truck and when I got it home my brother and his friend were able to lift it to unload it.

Pulled the trigger today. Supposed to be here mid-month, then off to the truck shop to get color-matched Scorpion liner applied. Very amped. Truck mods almost complete once this is installed. Whoop!
