I don’t know why picture makes it look level. Definitely retained factory rake.

This little set up is perfect, I’d rather purchase an entire lift when I’m ready but I think a simple inch lift will work fine for now. I’ve owned so many modified things over the years that I’m hesitant to touch anything on my truck. I love modified vehicles but I’ll admit it’s also nice just having something stock too. I’m running a 265/75 16 and an inch lift will just make it proportionally perfect. It’ll be how a TRD OR should be from the factory.

I’m guessing you still need longer U bolts with a 1 inch block?

Sweet, I had time to do some research and decided to go with the low range off road front spacers and rear blocks with 1 degree of taper. The spacers are half inch and they claim it’ll lift the truck 3/4 of an inch. The block will undoubtedly lift the truck an inch and hopefully the front will fall right into that 3/4-1 inch range. Right now my truck sits perfectly level with the Snugtop on it, ideally if the difference really was .25 of an inch front to back that would be prefect but let’s be honest something that amounts to about 7mm isn’t much. I’ll call tomorrow and order the stuff, I’ll ask about the u bolts too.

I’ll post back after installing it.

I forgot to check factory Ubolts when installing to see if they fit. I just threw on the new ones.

Ordered up my junk today. Got the low range off road front spacers and they had a wheelers off road rear bock and u bokt kit. I couldnt decide between the 1 inch block or the 1 5/16 block. I decided to order the 1 5/16 blocks to help off set the sag from the Snugtop. It was only 150 bucks shipped, I’ll throw it on next week and redo my alignment. Hopefully it sis just right!

All my junk came in, looks good. Nice billet blocks and spacers. The U bolts and hardware look good too. Some might call me crazy but I think I’m going to paint the blocks and bolts black, I want everything to look factory. I’m afraid the blocks are going to catch my eye every time I look at my truck. Who thinks I’m insane…?

I’ll probably install everything next week. Hopefully the extra 5/16 of an inch is just enough to compensate for my topper.

I didn’t like the aluminum look of the blocks on a previous truck so I painted them. The paint didn’t hold up the best but it still looked better than aluminum to me.

I was thinking the same thing. Did you happen to sand or rough up the surface or just paint the smooth aluminum? I’m not sure what I want to do.

    I did sand them first.

Looks good, that’s not the .5 front spacer though…is it? Looks taller than an inch lift but maybe it’s the driveway that’s deceiving? I’d say your truck is the perfect height.

Thanks, yes it’s just the .5 spacer. It’s on a little bit of an incline, but the same incline as the before shot here (and with the stock tires vs. 265/75/16 Wildpeaks)...

Nice, mine should be perfect then. I’m running the same size tires also. Can’t wait to install everything and see how it looks in person.

With the 1" front spacer, will the stock shocks work without mods, on an SR5?
    thanks

Well I finally had time to install the lift. Only took 45 minutes front and back. Luckily my factory front strut studs were long enough so all I did was remove the 3 nuts, bottom bolt and then took off the sway bar bushing bolts. That allowed me to push the sway bar out of the way and then drop down the strut enough to slip in the spacers. Went to align it and everything was still in spec, drives great and looks good. My pictures don’t really show the difference well but it looks better in person for sure. Oh yeah, and the rear spacer worked out well with the camper shell.

I’m sure it would work just fine, people regularly lift the front an inch to level it or they’ll do a 2 inch front and 1 inch rear as a lift/leveling set up.
