    Edit: The truck was found. Read on for the continuing story. TLDR, they didn’t clone the key FOB.

    My flawless 2020 was stolen 20 feet from my bedroom window last night. Police said there is a wave of Toyota theft right now. Really worried about how long it will be before I’m back in a Tacoma. I loved that truck.

    No clue but it didn’t seem difficult for them. It was just fucking gone. I went to use the remote start and didn’t see any lights flash outside and was like thats weird. Opened the door and my jaw dropped. It’s parked in a lighted space close to my door. It’s not a high crime area. I asked the cop and he said use a good old fashioned club on the steering wheel.

    One problem with a keyless world, people figure out how to capture or crack signals.

    I've grown to LOVE my TRD Sport...I'd be heartbroken if (God Forbid) I came out to a blank parking space.

    Let us know how your insurance claim goes...and police report...all of that!

    Will you be able to get a rental during investigation because you still need a car.

    Did you test that? Put your phone in it and call. If it rings, no good. There are some pretty good looking plans and prebuild faraday boxes out there.
