I am keeping a hand calculated fuel log, getting 21 average per tank so far. That is driving conservatively and not going over 65, 6 days a week is in town driving, with once a week 120 mile round trip on the interstate to a two lane hwy up into the mountains pulling a 5X8 moto trailer.

Sure I can get the computer to achieve 25-26 mpg on a short trip, reality is the average per tank is 21 for my truck and style of driving. Completely stock except cab high topper with the wienie 245s tires on it. Probably go down when I toss on my 265/70 snow tires on it. Then in the spring I’ll do 265/75 all terrains.

Still better than my old truck, 15-17 is the best I could get out of it.

Those guys complaining about power, dunno have been driving Toyota’s since the 22R days…the 3.5 minivan engine feels like a rocket ship to me. More than enough power than I’ll ever use. Think the newer to the brand owners don’t realize these trucks always had car engines in them that liked to be revved the shit out of.

Used to want a diesel for the mileage, kinda over that…a hybrid would be nice if they could get 30 mpg out of it. At least until they can figure out full electric to make it practical.
