Difference in material. I like the 3rd gen aluminum boards with the rough texture too

The 3’rd gen running boards are nicer. And, a lot more expensive.

No pictures for proof, but I installed the bed lights, the short bed rail that goes below the back window and the auto tailgate lock kit this week.

My truck came with the Predator bars already on it. I’ve already bent the drivers step. Tapped the front and rear of the step down part on rocks and it bent the step. And I truly do mean rapped. The scratches in the step are no longer than a half inch and I was going very very slow on a mostly dirt trail. Was learning the trucks capabilities and limitations when it happened. I have always known I will do rock sliders, but I was hoping these would last a little longer than 1,500 miles. Oh well.

The lock kit is not hard at all to install honestly. The one problem I had was removing the kick plate as I was unfamiliar with how it snapped in. So I wound up breaking a small part of the plastic and will have to replace the kick plate now. The harness goes through a drain plug in the floor at the passengers front seat. The problem is, if you have a certain package, another harness is already there so you actually have to cut a hole in the drain plug that is there and thread the harness through. Then you must silicone your area back up to keep it water proof. But overall, it is a very simple process.

did you have to cut the rectangular shape of the blue sea to make it fit?

Service appointment scheduled for next week for the fuel pump and 3rd brake light fix. Has anyone here had the 3rd brake light repaired with a shell installed?

There was a post a while back where they required the shell to be removed to do the 3rd brake light. I would definitely check with your dealer.

Dealership stated they would have to see it when I bring it in. They can do the fuel pump and if they can't do the 3rd light, oh well. There is no way I'm going to remove the shell.

pro tip: if you go with Kolpin Rhino Grip Flex 3” mounts, you can stow your shovel & axe together using just 2 tiedown points instead of 4, as if they were one tool. Saves a fair amount of precious space, freeing up more than enough room to add a large first aid kit on my MOLLE panel. I ditched my Quick Fist mounts because they were garbage and the rubber straps tore almost immediately.
