Is the plan to also make the swing out available to existing bumpers, with a little welding?

Hey @Apogee Offroad judging from your renderings back in May, I know it was made so that it can be swapped from driver to passenger, but would it be possible to mount the tire lower on the swing arms?
I might be the only one that would do that though, since I like being able to see most of the traffic in my rear view mirror. I at one point did have a Wilco that I didn't like due to it blocking most of my view, so I'm just being picky on that.

 

the swing outs won’t be able to be mounted lower. The tire carrier is planned to be bolt on so you could possibly lower the tire so it doesn’t obstruct your view as much.

 

Sorry, yeah, that's what I meant. To be able to move the tire mount lower on the swing arm.

 

Hi Guy and Gals. Just wanted to give you all a heads up that we’re hoping to have some preliminary pricing here in the next week or two. After that the goal is to get the second prototype finished up and do some testing.

Thanks for being patient. It’s been rough keeping all the orders filled with the current lack of everything. We’re doing the best we can and still have high hopes for these swingouts!

Take my money.... Seriously! I am happy to pre-order/pay and get in que for the first batch. A new bumper with swingouts AND BSM has been on my build list forever. I was beginning to look into finding someone to fabricate it....it is the final piece of my build out

Prelim pricing is in.

We speculate that we will be releasing these for $1799 for both swing outs, and tire mount RAW.

We will also be offering the tire mount as well as all accessories as separate items on our website.

This price obviously does not include the bumper pricing.

We are still pricing out the various accessories.

We can put you on a list, however the order tab won't be available until we're through testing.

I'll have to see what we can do for lead times on the preproduction so we can start testing.

It would be nice to get a group buy of at least 5 for testing/media purposes. We already have a quite large list of potential testers.

I'll reach out to them once we get a date for preproduction.

any idea of the weight of the swing outs?

 

Nice! Were there any changes to the latch system? Also, would you happen to be able to post pictures of that?
