Works fantastic, I have done quite a bit of TV mounting on concrete walls with it. Also used it to sink big hilti bolts into a floor to secure a safe.

oh cool, I'm hoping to install some posts on top of a concrete patio area, to string some market lights across. Glad I don't have to rent (or buy) any tools.

it will definitely do that for you, hammer drill works well but if you are doing a whole bunch it really becomes a pain.

Borrowed a buddy's... needed to sink an anchor into the foundation and it put a 1/2" hole, 6" deep with absolutely NO effort on my part.

I'm not sure how holes I'll need to drill yet, still need to figure out how many posts are going up, and which type to use. could be anywhere from 2 holes to maybe 16.

Is that the only Milwaukee cordless unit you've used? I have the same one and it doesn't vibrate any more than my other grinders (corded or cordless)...

Yes, it's the only Milwaukee cordless angle grinder I've used.

Everyone either has a corded one, or uses those in the shop (also corded or DeWalt cordless).

Next week I'll take my Milwaukee corded angle grinder, as it's never been used :anonymous:

Some tools from DeWalt are actually better. Sorry to say. I own both.

So I put my new mid torque 1/2” and 3/8” m12 stubby to work tonight doing a brake job on my kids Honda Fit and I must say I am super impressed. I have been using the M18 fuel impact with various adapters for these kinds of jobs for a while now. While it did handle most stuff fine the power of these new tools used in their native environment is fantastic.

    Which one?

I had (got stolen:mad:) and have used the SDS+ 1-1/8" and it's totally fine for small to medium sized holes.

I also have the SDS max and it's a beast!

The M12 fuel sds is perfect for smaller fasteners. :)

Probably a few. But, their hole hawg sucks and that was the biggest factor for me when I started my collection.

I almost want to buy just their angle grinder.

They have a similar offering currently as they do for the Milwaukee; 2 batteries, charger, bag, and a tool all for $199

I just bought the Milwaukee deal last week for the extra batteries and free tool.

Oh, I was thinking rotary hammer. That should be fine for smaller anchors. You might want earplugs if you're going to be drilling more than a few holes. Those types of hammer drills are super loud and harsh sounding.

My brother has Dewalt stuff and swears by it. We're both electricians, so our tools definitely get abused. :D I wouldn't hesitate to but anything Dewalt, but I'm too invested in Milwaukee to start mixing brands.

Anyone have experience with both of these speakers? I have a decent Monster speaker i have had for many years, but battery is starting to go. Like that the m12 has a radio and antenna, but wondering if the m18 has a noticeably better sound. Dont need super loud, just able to hear it over normal wrenching across the shop or yard.

I've got experience with the top one. Plenty loud for most areas unless machinery is running. Even then I can hear it over our lathe without being at full volume. Also the portability is great, and the battery life with a 5.0 is nearly 3 days 8 hours a day. (Newish battery)image.jpg
