Yeah. The “world-wide fender flare shortage” is apparently a thing. Toyota has to shorten them up, or we all have to go without…….and I’m not driving no SR goddamit!

Honestly, I like SRs, but have not heard of SX’s. Are they really a thing?

Love mine. Don't offroad anyway & the stock FS Destinations are surprisingly good in the snow. Lucky to have bought a little over a year ago before the madness & paid $600 over invoice.

Just to be completely clear, because the most common question at the show was (and always is) when can I get one of these? The Tundra Chase, the TacoZilla, the Grey Taco Overland and the white targa Supra are all Concept Vehicles only. They are not for sale now and may or may not ever be available from Toyota. They are at SEMA to show what is possible and to see what interest there may be. I'm sure Toyota is watching this and all related forums for feedback, but if you have strong feelings one way or the other, please give them your feedback in writing at their website. They really do want to know. The one exception to the above statement, is that like I posted earlier, the products on the Grey Taco are available today. My time there was very limited and extremely hectic, so I'm sorry I couldn't answer more of your questions. Any info I get tho, I will post here.

Also, in the interests of full disclosure, I am not now, nor have I ever been a Toyota employee. I am not authorized to make any statements on their behalf. I was there purely as an observer and to provide support.

Yes, the proper spring would be ideal. I'd think the camper was built from scratch, so you think there would have the proper springs included during the build. Maybe they couldn't get them in time.

Believe it is a design exercise show only, not for practical use. It is steel frame aluminum skin…pretty much over payload with just that.

Isn't it kinda odd that they went with the sport bedside stickers on what is obviously supposed to be an off-road trailer?

Im more interested to why they didnt use a long bed and integrate the stuff thats in the box into the extra foot of space the bed gives.

Even if I owned everything on display at SEMA this is what I’d probably drive the most. Old soul, I guess…

I’m guessing they wanted it to slide out to the side versus having everything accessed at the tailgate.

Vehicle choices for SEMA were probably effected by limited inventory. Probably slapped off-road flares on a sport. Maybe a long bed wasn't available on short notice.
