I just put this on a 2013 white Lexus. Only prep was a good wash and dry. Amazing results! Interesting to see how long it will last. $20 at Autozone. Probably do 3 vehicles with one bottle. 5D6515D5-FD29-44B6-8F8D-D21551CBC1ED.png

Something I like about his reviews is that if I don't have the time to watch the whole video, I can fast forward to the end and he gives a wrap-up, so saves a lot of time.

I always spray wax after a wash if I’m not doing a normal wax or seal. It makes it so much easier and also maintains your wax or sealant longer. P & S is my go to.

clay didn't do anything for the spots. only gel-based acidic cleaners seem to touch it. just worried about using it on the factory "tinted" glass on the rear.

I had my truck waxed after a month of ownership and the glare from the southern California sunlight blinded me.

Does that stuff smell like laundry detergent? I use a detailing product that is a concentrate that looks just like that. The detailing forums jokingly argued it is just bill fabric softener and frankly, it seems like it. Works great, don’t get me wrong, but I swear it’s just $30 for 20oz of someone rebottling downy…

How long should you wait to wax a truck that is new. I understand that the paint has to cure before it is waxed.

I haven't even washed my truck yet after nearly 2 years let along a wax job. The simonize glass coat is still doing a great job keeping the truck looking brand new. No paint chips either.

P&S is a professional detail product company and you can get that in gallon and 5 Gallon (<- I think 5)sizes only. They use some sort of oil, banana oil or tangerine or something. Has a sweet smell. Been using it for 25 years it keeps your wax and car glossy after a wash if you maintain your paint. Works well with a Claybar too.

Clay acts as a suction and pulls impurities out of the paint and glass. If you use steel wool on the outside glass it shouldn’t hurt anything. Use fine steel wool. I actual put a cleaner wax on the pad and lots of elbow grease, then follow it with a sealant wax or ceramic after the spots are gone. Only on the outside! You could also try vinegar with the steel wool. Vinegar will eat your wax on the paint so use as needed unless you’re waxing everything after. You can tape your rubber trim so you won’t damage it with scrubbing..

yeah, I’m familiar with detailing, I did a full correction on my car (clay, compound, polish, sealant to zero scratches) and am getting ready to personally do a ceramic coating on my Tacoma.

my comment was partially in jest because one of the recommended products looks exactly the same and the detailing forums joke about it being rebottled fabric softener. That product has many of the same claims your P&S has. That said it wouldn’t be surprising if such a thing worked. I have no idea if P&S is the same it was just ironic they look identical and make many of the same claims

The paint has cured by the time it leaves the factory.

FWIW I just located the safety data sheets for the P&S products. They are quickly and easily accessible from the webpage. That IS an indication of a professional company if you ask me.

I’m picking up what your putting down. A lot of that crap at Walmart or AutoZone is just there to catch your eye and a bright fancy advertisement bottle, and or it smells like candy Which gives you a happy feeling when you walk into your garage and everything smells sweet and dandy. I also like Adam’s products VRT to keep trim and vinyl like new. Some McGuires stuff is legit.. Lucas spray glaze and turtle wax quick detail IMO sucks. I experiment with different stuff on my wheels, if it repels brake dust, it’s pretty good. The more brake dust that sticks to my rims the more water is in the product Imo. I also wax my rims with about three coats, they see the most debris with brake dust. It’s my hobby I can go on and on lol.

I have been on a Meguires kick for a while now, mostly because it is accessible. I have a love/hate relationship with M105, more hate at this point I think. Thankfully its not something you use much. M205 is better but I'm going to try something different next purchase.
I still have a bottle of Chemical Guys M-Seal from, eek, 5 years ago and its less then half used. The stuff works so I have a hard time spending money on something different. Look is a little bright but a quick coat with glaze after can give the depth for a short bit if you want. Although just recently I did a Cquartz UK coating on my G8 and as said getting ready to do the truck. I won't say I'm super pleased with the results on the G8 but the paint (clear) was getting SUPER tired on that and the ceramic coating is more of a stop gap at a respray then anything else. Still need to do two other cars with it so I'm going to need to order another kit. They have a "reload" you are supposed to do but I may try one of these 'ceramic' detail spray for post-wash.

Frankly, wheels are the one area I don't do anything. Not for any particular reason other then I just have not found a good routine. Wash with a soft bristle brush and that's it. Tires get a scrub with dawn and a stiff bristle brush followed by a light coating (using turtle wax something....meh).

If you don't like M105 working time. Since you have both, try using a drop of M205 with the M105. May have to play with how much M205 you use. Another idea is spray a little water to help with working time.

Yeah, tried a variety of things and some help to an extent. M205 helped but to extend the working time any reasonable amount you had to add so much M205 it reduced the effectiveness. Water just clogged my pads.

In the end I never understood the "non diminishing abrasives" if you couldn't work the product long enough to use them.

I'm basically out of both products at this point so I'm trying something new on the next round, although the Meguires Ultimate Compound is supposed to fall between M105 and M205 but can be worked more like 205. After my 100% correction on the G8 I'm just in maintenance mode anymore, and I'm not worrying about the 100% correction either (too much of a pain for a daily). The truck will just get a yearly/bi-yearly ceramic and a spray detailer after wash, same with the wife's Highlander. I'm tired of worrying about paint.
