My Talon was supposed to arrive yesterday, according to FedEx it's still "on time." So there's that I guess. <huge eye roll>

    Hopefully you get it today!

Seaford, DE is about 40 miles from my location.

Ya'll happy with your Talon's? Leaning towards that one instead of the Cat Security one. Only thing I do not like about the talon is I have a pro skid plate and not sure about the doubling up.

I've yet to install mine...Eric has been a big help with informational video where he installs the Talon with his TRD Skid plate. There are spacers that make it a clean install.

His video is on this thread a couple of times...post# 205 the most recent.

Sounds about right. FedEx in Houston (at least in my experience) is often flakey. Guess that applies to packages going out as well as coming in.

Very happy with my plate. The install video by 19cement4xor was super helpful. I also went ahead and painted it and I like how it turned out.

Since the weather has turned cold, I may just skip painting mine...and go straight to install.

Glad everyone is getting their CAT protection!

I ordered the security bolts...no ship status yet. At least I can line these up and use Allen wrench to tighten.

I have a pro and installed the Talon last week. No issues to be concerned about.

It takes a 5mm hex socket that makes it easier. A 5mm hex is also used for the transmission overflow plug. It wouldn’t be a waste to get it if you plan on any transmission fluid drain and fills.

Ya know a vehicle is what is called above ground kind of like an electric fence. The truck being above ground insulated by the tires would produce the same results as a fence one bite into the metal while laying on the ground would probably get a great deal of attention! Rigged into the lock system would work.

    Cool!

I hadn’t done a fit test on the bolt/screws…just guessing they were Allen type.

It’s Friday and I’ve got a firepit going. Cold temps tonight (39F) but I’m prepared, with beer in hand!

    Agreed.

Necessity is the mother of Invention...and in this case, very much needed.

I think I will go on-base (Dover AFB) and use the Auto Hobby Shop and use the lift for Talon install.

    OPENS at 9am on Saturday

Photos are definitely being taken so I can see the full underside of my truck. And this should be easier/quicker to do. Stall with lift usage was $6/hr last time if I remember correctly.
