Same for me! Bought my 2020 TRD OR in late October 2019. Just turned 25,500 miles. Problems: Same as OP....NONE SO FAR!

2 years and 15k miles on my 2020 with no issues. TBQH that’s par for the course for the 3 vehicles I have bought new. Many of the used ones were fine that long too with much higher miles.

My 2017 OR is, without a doubt, the best vehicle I’ve ever had. The vehicle I had before it, a 2010 F-150, was such a disappointment, so it’s been a nice change.

Wow the feeling is mutual man! I had 219,000 on my ‘03 when a kid ran a red & I had nowhere to go and plowed into him in the middle of the intersection. That thing was super clean. Never in an accident, perfect condition, awesome truck on & off road. Had it for over 16 years with not many issues at all. I was bummed & still haven’t gotten over it but insurance gave me $17,500, so I was pretty happy with that. Lots of great memories with it though. First build, learned a lot from it.

It gets better...that sad feeling will diminish in its own time. Even though I kept seeing 2003 Silver Pilots on the road, the feeling still lingered for almost a year.

You got considerably more for your truck than I got for my Pilot! Because I had tow package, roof cross-bars, bull horn bumper, sidesteps, leather, DVD...that's what brought my insurance check to $4500. Lots of parts to CANN off my Pilot.

I was driving a 2010 Mazda CX-9 AWD within a month of losing my SUV. (Accident: Oct 3, 2018) Great touring car with a 3.7L engine...as opposed to the 3.5L in the Pilot.

We got our finances in order, refinanced our mortgage in early 2021 and by May 14th, I got my NEW Tacoma!

I joined this forum in September and have enjoyed the knowledge & humor this place provides.

The best is them coming saying they've had no issues except having their frame replaced.

    Well, I'm a 2nd Genner......Frankly, I don't care what Gen anyone drives.

All rides are subject to recalls or TSB or repairs or maintenance.

I don't believe a couple of recalls, no matter the extent, makes for an unreliable vehicle.

Unreliable comes about when you can't trust the vehicle to run. Example: continuous breakdowns of the nickel & dime nature.

Yes, my 2nd Gen went through several recalls, but that all happened before my purchase. The previous owner had to deal with the recalls.

I have not had any reliability issues with the truck in the 2 years of my ownership. Yes, I've done a load of maintenance, but its well over 100 kmiles. None of the maintenance was unexpected or unplanned. At this point, I expect the truck will run well into the 200 kmile range or beyond.

    Is it unreliable? No.

Perhaps I have a different perspective of reliability. I grew up with cars running on points & condensers in a distributor cap. I think many 3rd Gens couldn't imagine such a "complex" system.

I have a ‘99, that I had for 19 years, sure hardly any recalls. Though I do have an awfully long list of repairs to keep it going. This year was the worst, tossed $6000 at it, and still probably needs another $6K+ tossed at it. Wife finally stepped in and told me to buy a new truck.

Resisted for years, but loving the 3rd Gen. Don’t think I’ll push it as far with this truck, may trade in at 100K which is very uncharacteristic for me. I am not getting any younger either.

2016, 56k miles, 5 and 1/2 years, and zero problems I haven't caused myself. Dealer notified me of all the recalls (like 3 or 4?) and my truck needed none of them. Goddamn love this thing.

3+ years 50k miles on my 2018 MT pro and only issues I've had outside of a few mildly inconvenient recalls was the clutch creak TSB. Other than that just oil changes and tire rotations.

Back in 2015 I had a choice of buying the previous gen new 2015 OR or a new gen 2016 SR5 for several K more. It has been 6 years and nothing has required any service other then routine maintenance. ….I never regretted the decision.

Only complaint here in 3 months/3300 miles is my gen 1 costed zero per month and this one is about $530.
