Leer 180 Cap Color Poll

Picked up a grey Leer 180 on craigslist. Not excited about paying for a paintjob right away, so might attempt my first vinyl wrap. Exploring some color options with photoshop below. Any opinions? Please share

Option A - vinyl wrap shell black to match truck




Option B - keep shell as is and plastidip wheels to match




Option C - vinyl wrap with gunmetal to match wheels

 

My vote is black

 

I was just in the same situation recently. Got a MGM Leer 100R for $450 but my truck is MBM. I wound up Raptor lining the shell. It looks better - I really like the textured look - but I'm going to take it back off and over spray it with black to darken it up.

 

Thanks might be another option. I like the textured, matte look too. Keeps the look of a truck and not a big SUV

 

Another upside to the bed liner is cost. I only used 1/4 of the kit I bought for $110 to spray the whole thing

 

Rustoleum Spray-can flat black, followed by their spray-can bedliner. Bedliner for the cap looks decent, and you won’t care one bit about scratching anything.

 

Only took two years but finally decided to raptor line it

 

The flip up side windows are a great feature, I love mine. You can buy the Leer triangle emblems on eBay for less than $20. to complete the look.

 

Thanks I ordered these on etsy. Curious if I need to sand down the little spot they go on? Or should I add some extra spray adhesive?

 

I replaced mine, put them right on the smooth paint about a year ago, they are still there.
