Heat cycles is going to play an important role. Putting 300k on a truck in 5-6 years won’t be indicative of typical reliability. I’d imagine with typical driving the head gasket might have issues in the high 200k range.

Went from my 2012 with 200k to my 21. I miss the low end, but every other part of the truck is better.

Odds are you don't qualify as the "highest mileage vehicle" if you don't rack up at least the average mileage in a year. It's kind of like blurting out an answer to a question when nobody was talking to you lol

You can trust the 3.5L. It’s been around for over 10 years in other Lexus vehicles. Have you heard about issues with Lexus engines? I didn’t, I only heard the opposite actually.

It’s a Toyota, do proper maintenance and she will last for a very long time.

2017 sport MT, 95k miles. I had most issues within the first 20k. Clutch burned out at 15k, sway bar link popped off of the ball and jammed itself in my CV at 20k, and more. Beyond that, AC stopped working at 60k, and my steering rack went out at 70k. No engine, tranny, t case problems though, and I’ve since replaced far too many parts to count with aftermarket to save me headaches on the trail. No issues now beyond having to replace CA uniballs, bushings, and rebuild shocks every 20 to 30k, but I just consider that scheduled maintenance.

    holy speculation.

No matter how you slice it time wise, 300k is a solid number to get to without failure.

My guess is total factory lemon. I’ve honestly never owned an auto, and I didn’t burn the clutch once until it totally failed and smoke was shooting everywhere on the highway.
It was a big fight, many calls to corporate, and three weeks at the dealer before they touched my truck, but I did get them to warranty it.
