You don’t have to pay the subscription for the stand alone remote start module. It only start the truck within short range. But if you want to remotely start or locate your truck via GPS; example from another country or state (must have cell service or wifi) that’s when you need to add the smart module and App plus the subscription. I think it’s still free for the first year. Here’s a link. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...remote-starter-kit-at-mt-smart-module.568990/

Yes I'm sure. Sliders don't mount to the cab they mount to the frame.

I got some of the stuff and a road map for the rest...
Follow up...my front passenger window won't close automatically. It auto-returns. Then I have to slowly bump it up into place. 3/4 work great. For $100 I expect them all to work perfect though. I tried taking it out an putting it back in but it didn't help. Now I'll try to figure out how to contact WeatherTech and see how good their customer service is.

The window thinks there is a finger there. When you reset the pinch protection, it will set a new top value for where the window should stop. Just give it a shot, it will take 2 minutes of your time and may actually fix it.

I remove ethanol from my premium gas for premix in all my 2 strokes. The last 5 gallon gas jug, contained a tad over 8 ounces of ethanol..
It’s actually very simple to do, and most all non ethanol pumps around here are only 89 octane, and they charge a premium.. The 92 octane was actually cheaper once I removed the ethanol, if you know 2 strokes you know they love octane.

I found a 6 gallon glass water bottle on marketplace, add the 5 gallons of gas, then grab one plastic 12 ounce bottle of water, add a few drops of food coloring, and pour the mixture directly in with the gas. Give it a few minutes and watch..
Ethanol is water soluble, and will bind with the H2O molecules. The food coloring/water/ethanol mixture will show a very definitive line (which goes to the bottom of the jug) between the bottom of the jug, the gas stays on top. Simply siphon off all the water/ethanol back into to water bottle, and any excess into another bottle until you see a thin separation line of fuel in the water bottle, (you’ll get a little drizzle of fuel on top, which tells ya your got it all.)
Add the oil, and good to go on your high octane premix.. I use the ethanol mix for lighter fluid then (leaves, cardboard, wood, outside ) as it burns very slow, much like charcoal lighter, you can literally splash it on an open flame without loosing your eyebrows.

Didn't even know there was such a thing as pinch protection. So much for choking the bad guy when he sticks his head in the windows uninvited. :bananadead:

Nope. It still returns. Does it even if I am manually holding the window up button. Tried several variations of 3 count, 5 count, etc. Not sure if the issue is the plastic or tue window channel.

I have to stop the window at the plastic then hit the up button again to get past the point where it pushes it out of the way.

At the hardware store and just want to know how many of you have a chain saw with you when your out in middle of no where, i've always had pruning sheers, an axe and a hand saw but this last go around we had to deal with quite a few larger branches,

Was looking at a smaller gas powered chain saw.
