Dude. That's spooky for sure. Does your ABS give you a buzz?

I was going to suggest the wheel spacers first, but that was a guess lol

Also, that artwork is dope AF @gasparic104 do you paint dogs?

EDIT: I guess those are obviously not paint brushes...:anonymous:

No sounds, I can't be sure, but I might have felt the slamming of the ABS but it happened so fast and was over just as quick and I had the music way up. I'm guessing it's just the high caster. I'm gonna have to take it easy on the corners till I can get it re-aligned. @EatSleepTacos didn't you buy a DIY alignment jig/kit?

No, but this is not what I'm getting: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...c-computer-the-easy-way.467485/#post-14024806
I have the TRAC off because my fuel cap can't seal because my filler neck didn't relocate back to OEM grommet when I did the 62 swap. I suspect I may have put the shock mounts too far towards the cab, but Harry gave me a range of 17-18 inches off center line of the axle at bump and I think I ended up close to 18 on final weld in. So the CEL stays on for 'fuel vapor leak (major)' or whatever it says which for whatever reason, disables the TRAC when there's a CEL on the tacoma. (Makes a lot of sense Toyota...) The slip light only came on for the brief moment I felt like I lost traction which makes me think it's working fine. I just think +5* of caster might've been a bit much on 17x9s running 255s on 0 offset and 1.25" spacers. I think when I turn I'm probably only contacting the pavement with a little tire. I'll have to park in the culdesac and turn the wheel to see for sure.

I can give it a shot, but I don't think that's what's going on. But I've been wrong before so...

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Unplug one abs sensor and recreate

I have to drive like miss daisy is riding in back or the dash lights up and flashes like a bad xmas display with the traction system and electric brake booster singing an angry duet. stupid nanny controls.

edit: recalibrating the vsc doesn't work for us because the values are WAY outside what the system was designed for.

That's why you should gotten an old turd like mine instead.

Harry was telling me all the issues they're battling with trying to get rid of the ABS crap on the newer trucks.

You've been mighty quiet in the JD thread

No electronic brake booster here I think. @Slashaar you don't have ATRAC, correct? I think the caster numbers you showed me were impressive IIRC

Yea, not much to add to the convo from me lately. Put the stoptech brakes on and took it into the dirt a few times, but nothing worthy to see. Been driving it like an old man without glasses. Still feeling the truck out. Its a lot of truck now.

I don't think so. I'm a 2015 TRD Sport. I do have VSC, ABS and the Auto LSD.

its the vsc...abs disconnected disables all that nonsense. you'll know if it's mechanical if it happens after you kill the nanny controls.

I turned off VSC today, but couldn't recreate because I got stuck behind a slow car.... We'll see I can do it on the way home tonight.

Added a new poll. Seat poll closed with pretty even results across the board. I'll be ditching the cubbies eventually if someone will either sell me a molle panel or give me a file to make my own or I spend a bunch of time redesigning something that already exists :annoyed:

New Poll: Which Locker? Harrop or ARB?

are you 2wd or 4? if it's just the rear, then arb. if you are adding locker to the front, then harrop.

i made my own molle panel before a lot of folks were making them...it was a PITA but worked great till I replaced it with a metal one. so ghetto...but hey, it's not dumb if it works!

Mine is cut to make it fit over the JBL subwoofer. I’ll pull it and sell it but I’m practically bedridden now so if you are keen let me know and I’ll see if @Tacomania will remove it this weekend.

ARB all day. Go look at their cross sections. Harrup makes some crompromises to strength to allow the electric to work. ARB has had issues with leaking but I haven't seen those issues as much as before and both mine worked flawlessly untill I destroyed the rear completely. The new rear will be getting another ARB this time in the form of a 40 spline comp version
