Plot twist, dealership has no idea when they're getting any Africa Twin in through the end of the year. So my search continues. Also, they did something wrong with the deposit, so im getting it back

 

checking out a used V-Strom tomorrow, 40k, 2007. anything other than wear and rust i should look for?

 

Get a norden then sell it to me at a great price in a year when you do this all over again

Only regular maintenance and well taken care of as far as I remember. Reliable/comfortable machines!

The one lead i have is, a dealership in PA has one, but it has a deposit on it. The guy ordered a T700, but it arrived damaged, so he put a deposit on the AT. I'll know in a week if he wants it or not.

lets hope the guy thinks its too tall or expensive. I think the Yamaha is 10k vs 14 for the Honda

I had a similar experience with my dealer trying to find a new XSR. no deposit issues, but they had initially told me it'd be a month. Then a month later, it'd be another month. a month later, maybe 2 months but they really have no idea. So I pulled my deposit and found a decent deal on a used one.

A week later they called told me they just got it in stock if I was still interested.

 

Of all the dealerships I called today, almost every one said Honda is done shipping the 2021s. I don't have a preference on a 21 or 22, but id like to have a bike sooner than later. Also granted im not going to ride until April.. id rather have it and not be waiting.

another thing is, the 22 Africa Twins are not released in the US yet. So in that case, id rather have a 21.

Just need you guys to cross your fingers that i can get the one that im waiting on.
