Any first hand experience with any of these skids/guards/armor:

    Lower control arms skids
    ABS sensor guards
    Rear shocks skids
    Differential skid

There's plenty info on the big 3 (front, trans, transfer case) as well as the gas tank skid.

Looking for input/info if any of the skids mentioned above has help you prevent damage to your vehicle components while offroading or if you think some are not really needed or gimmicky.

I heard good thing about the ABS sensors. As far as the LCA skids I heard conflicting results saying they are counterproductive to the front suspension. Haven't seen to may reviews/opinions on the rear shocks or differential skids.

    Pics for reference:

I mean if you are an extreme rock crawler and planning on sliding on rocks 24/7, then it could be a good idea. Otherwise, for 99.9% of us I think it’s a waste of money.

The diff skid is worth having IMO. It's one of the easier places to hit with rocks.

I have LCA skids, not sure if they've ever taken a hit because they're protected by tires in normal conditions.

Really depends on how much you take your truck onto rocks.

Take your truck offroading and then look under to see where it scraped. I went for the first time recently and my lower control arms got scraped even though I was being careful, but that was mild. After that trip I decided, I want to get some skids for the front as well as the lower control arm. I don't really need them because there aren't too many places nearby to play, but they'll look cool.

diff skid for sure if you wheel as noted. My diff and skid see plenty of action. I put the ABS more for comfort knowing they won’t get ripped off. The others I never bothered.

Yes, usually my front skids are the ones getting scraped. I just put an order foe the ABS guards, figured t cant hurt. The lower control arms im still debating.

I would like to hear more about the archive garage ABS sensor guards. My truck's dash intermittently throws ABS/Brake codes, then disapear for a month or two. Assuming I messed up a sensor already :annoyed:

Didnt know Archive Garage had their own abs guards. Good price also. Let me know how you like them. I purchased the SDHQ ones.
