Yes and yes. Gunner is Nick Irving, Ranger sniper and author. Video which I probably should have just linked in my original post:

I had the 509 midsize MRD with a 507c, it was a solid gun but just seemed too bulky for me (5’7” 150lb). I loved the red dot, but carrying wasn’t the best. (I carry appendix). And some other things about the gun just didn’t impress me long term. So I recently sold it and bought a cz p-01 omega. And all I can say is wow. I love carrying this thing, it was a few oz more because of its aluminum body, but with a solid holster (tier 1 axis slim) and belt (blue alpha gear) you dont notice the weight. I also carry a extra mag with the p-01, did not with the 509. Can honestly say the overall set up of the p-01 feels much better. Its a tad slimmer with the grips ive added than the 509. Also I have had great luck at 100 yrds (12” steel) with just the stock sights on the p-01. Phenomenal shooting gun. Highly recommend.

Thank you, they are the Lok grip Bogies I believe. They are classified as rough, which they do have great grip, but i appendix carry with the grip against my skin and have no issues with comfort.

I think the neighbors aren’t going to be happy, they complain when we shoot a little bit on our property (almost 90 acres) so now we’re going to let the county swat team use the range…

Whats crazy is the neighbors that adjoin our property don’t care, the people complaining don’t even have land that touches ours.

The LT. that came out yesterday essentially told us that we aren’t doing anything wrong and it’s a BS call for them to go to, if they want to complain bad enough it’s a civil matter and there’s likely not a judge that will side with them.
One of the deputies said he would go to the complainants house next time we shot and he would bring a db meter and see how loud it really is.

Our property is only 10 acres but it's in the county which means you're good to shoot as long as you're doing so safely. Sherriff has told me that as long as we have a backstop and aren't shooting towards a house we're good. Neighbor (who bought his land 3 years after we did) complains about the noise. And with ammo prices lately it's not like we shoot a lot.

Coworker lives a few miles away and has a neighbor who works at an ammo factory. Said the guy does mag dumps at 1-2 am and county says they can't do anything.

Ran out to the range yesterday evening after work to test a 300 win mag that I bought on a whim, put the silhouette out at 150 and couldn’t get a hit in 5 rounds (I forgot to bore sight it before I left work) so we put a few rounds through our AR’s (11.5 and 12.5) and were getting hits using a Cloud Defensive REIN to light it up.
Went back out today and stretched the shot as far as we could without moving the target and got 243 yards, first round hits with both AR’s, and because the steel is 2/3 size theoretically it’s the same as hitting a full silhouette at 360 yards. I’m pretty happy with that.
I just need to remember to bring paint for the steel.

Great info. I have yet to take my 11.5 out past 100 yards. That target is begging for a paint job.
