I’m sure it works well as a leaf vacuum. My Volant is great at sucking up acorn seeds for redistribution to the squirrel pop around us.

Did you get it from James Dean Creations?
Was it a pain to put on?
    Thanks!

Well that's not good... Why not just have a Snorkel?

I don't want a snorkel. I do want to increase the clearance on the truck for treading water. I do also want to get it out of the wheel well where I've had to unpack mud before. There's maybe statistically no margin for actual improvement, but that's also the deal with a snorkel. This is an alternative to a snorkel so my truck doesn't look like it's built for overlanding, it's not.

    Hi
    Yes, James Dean Creations.

Super easy to install. Clean area with soap and water, then alcohol. It’s easy to line it up in that spot so that helps. They sent a nice rigid plastic squeegee too

Well, it’s not as bad as it sounds. I wanted the Volant for the slight improvement in mileage after weighing down the Taco with everything. I added the front air scoop for the Volant that not only draws more air but also some light debris which settles to the bottom of the massive Volant intake shroud. I usually just remove these nuts when I am cleaning and oiling the intake cone. Of course I’d like a snorkel but I’m taking a break from reinventing my Taco.
