ah yes... California slowly ruining the rest of the states now they californians are fleeing...

theres talks of our emissions getting stricter. im not enjoying this.

fun fact, a 1993 mr2 with full emissions control systems working as designed, puts out more emissions than a 2015 toyota sienna 3.5l with no cats.... we've come far enough that they dont need to be that strict

My wallet is glad too. I almost bought a rotorpack from high speed lab because I thought dealing with Summit Racing was going to be a big hassle of shipping to them and waiting but all it took was a phone call. I told them what happened then 5 min later he approved me for a new one and are sending someone to pick up the old one. I had no idea it had a 3 year warranty.

Great to hear about that 3 year warranty
    Speaking of warranty,
I’m done with high speed labs poor work quality and 3 months to rebuild it.
It was rebuilt for 1500.00, I received it and the snout seal was leaking and ended having to get a new rebuilt nose for 450.00 from Jon bond because HSL damaged the seal area when it was rebuilt
and 13 months with 30k on the rebuild later the rotor pack seals are leaking so I have to add SC oil every 5k miles and now the needle bearings are making noise,
His warranty is 12 months and I’m at 13 months. It’s disappointing because he did two other rebuilds that were good.
Jon Bon has it now for inspection with an update this week on what he did and my repair bill.
Jon bons turn around is 3 weeks for a rebuild NOT 3 months

    Man…that sucks to hear.
I already decided to go with Jon Bon the next time around after 10 months to rebuild mine from HSL.
But the build quality is even more disturbing.

Have they been giving you updates on your rebuild? Mine was set to start the rebuild beginning of this month but haven't heard anything from them..

If it's running alright and not tossing a code you should be fine for the smog test. 2000 and up doesn't get tailpipe/sniff tested, just a visual and obdII scan.

I had the same problem when I went to get tested last weekend. Replaced my battery a few weeks ago and it's still not ready.

Guy told me to drive it at a steady 45 mph for awhile in 5th gear and that should do it. Gonna cruise the mountain roads next weekend before I take it in

It seems to run fine except it burbles alot on deceleration. I just got my new supercharger today but want to smog before I put it back on just so The guy doesn't give me any problems.

I looked up the drive cycle and have been trying to do it on the way to work. I now have brand new cats and oxygen sensors as well as fuel pressure regulator ,spark plugs and wires are fairly new, and throttlebody. if it doesnt work the spark plugs being 2 steps colder is literally the only thing it could be....guess I'll try the 5th gear thing

My work was to start nov1st with an estimated cost.

I have not heard from them and no response to my email or phone calls as of the 6th.
I don’t get why these rebuilds are this way,
