Toyota dealership told me it won't fit. It has to be modified and they can't do that. So I researched here and YouTube. Mainly found people trying to put a 285 under there. The 265 fits. When the tire gets to the alignment wings (pic), pull it towards the hitch a bit and crank it up the rest of the way to be level. Checking all around, no clearance issues. I'm about to put on a thick cable lock on it, seeing a spare tire lock (like locking lug nut) are easy to get past by forcing a socket on it. Need some type of security on it. Thanks. 20211106_111329.jpg

My Sport came with the XP package, so 265/70R16 tires on old TRD Pro 16" alloy wheels, but the stock spare is a 245/75R16 on a 17" rim. Interesting, the spare has a sticker on it stating temp use only. First time I dropped it down since I bought the truck. But the 265 fits with pulling it towards the hitch the last few inches. I bent back nothing and no clearance issues, but close. Thanks.

Wait…245/75-16 on a 17” wheel? I think you just mean 16” wheel, right? I’m surprised they changed the spare.

Regardless a 265 is wider but not taller so you won’t have any issue.

    Oh man…
Great wheels if you had another 3. Post it up on the sell page, bet it will go quick! I kept mine and use it to calibrate my wheel balancer.

Haven't used that section (sell) of TW before. I see you have to have 50 posts to do that. I read here a lot, but don't post often. I'll find it a good home...lol.

same here, for some reason the tire shop couldn’t get it to fit, but I dropped the original spare, strapped in the 275/70R17 and hoisted it on up. I did have to jiggle it and guide it, it’s a tight fit.

Mine came with the 17”. This was brought up before and I think it was all across the board. Thought was whatever they had on the line at the time

I really like the stock rims. So I had mine powdercoated gray. Pretty happy with the look!

I was commenting on sports and spares. So I’m confused why, since you have an or with 16”, why you would have a 17” spare?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the spare sized up on rim but only down

Quick little mod today to add some extra functionality to my Leer 100xq. I had the roof tracks added when it was built so there’s bolts with little caps poking through the inside. I tied paracord around them real tight and now I can hang clothes and other things back there. EAF62FF1-C5B4-4944-81F4-E1E234CF3721.jpg
