It's like every time Gwen Stefani says she was in a band. It gets younger and younger each time. She's up to zygote last i heard.

There was a joke on a thread a few years back after I bought my ‘17 that everyone that just purchased their truck paid “a little over $35k” and everyone that had a problem or complaint had a “$40k truck”.

Totally agree. I can't imagine the horrors of being a service writer let alone the manager. (Many moons ago I as manager in retail.)

Probably from himself or some else driving the vehicle. If someone is that anal about things they should probably stay away from people in general. Along with staying off the internet.

My toyota dealer here always emails me a survey of my last service visit to grade them. I've been very satisfied, except when they would have to bill me. They are not in step with the rest of our county.

You are not overreacting the dang prices that dealerships change you expect to get your vehicle back as clean as it was when you dropped it off. I stopped letting the local dealer service my Tocoma when the spilled oil down the side of the engine and told me I had an oil leak. They did a warranty repair to the Camry and left some parts and did a free oil change for my troubles. Give hell about your $45k truck, I would.

I didn’t read all 6 pages, but how did the keys get locked in the truck? I thought there was a system that wouldn’t let you lock the doors if the the key fob in the truck?

I’ve somehow stayed engaged in the thread and your the first one to focus on this interesting detail. This thread is really just a roast of the OP at this point

Eh, if you're not happy, you're not happy.

I'd bring it to their attention and consider taking your business elsewhere if they shrug and dismiss it. Negative reviews online typically get the ball rolling.

Maybe because there are plenty of dealers out there who do not do the service that was paid for. Getting your vehicle back in the condition it was dropped off in is not an unreasonable expectation. It's called quality customer service. And $45,000 for a vehicle is a lot of money for most people. Maybe those who are driving luxury vehicles are "chill" because they have disposable income?

Am 28 years old, have been a car dealer tech for 5 years, worked at two motorcycle shops before for 3 years total and a bookstore for 8 years before that. I gotta say I feel like I've worked customer service and am glad to be leaving it in the next few months.
Hell my dealership in the last month has lost 2 good service advisors who both bend over backward for the customers and still get cussed out daily by customers so they said fuck it and left.

Edit for years I worked since the math makes it sound like I started working at 12 when I actually started at 14, the bookstore overlapped with motorcycle shops for 2 years

I’m a service manager. But we take pride in what we do here, and we have a loyal customer base who don’t have to question the quality of their repairs.
