I was also wondering. Ken hasn’t posted on this thread for at least a couple months and I haven’t seen Sue or Rob for some time either. Hope all are ok.

Speaking of chairs, I was on a long walk last year and noticed a beautiful blue rocking chair on a distant neighbor's front porch. I promptly ordered myself a rocking chair when I got home that day. It's been my office chair ever since, and occasionally I drag it out on the front porch to watch the world go by while I drink some cold beverages.

    Good morning Porchies!!! Welcome, Jack!!

We got two hot air balloon flights in yesterday - morning and afternoon. Heading out in a bit to get one more in today - with the switch back to standard time the sun goes down too early for us to get in evening flights for the most part, until late Spring.

I got the opportunity to fly yesterday morning - what an awesome experience. The weather was chilly but not bad - especially once you got up into the sun. Sunrise over northeast PA.

Awesome 6, simply awesome! I'll see one overhead sometimes, we're between two lakes. Beautiful scenery this time of the year. Their base of operations is only a few miles west.

Sunday morning laying in bed and drinking coffee, I love this. Time change is gonna be wierd, always takes me awhile to adjust to it. Means it's going to get dark earlier now, I hate that. I wish they would just leave it alone and not change it, I like it the way it is in the summer. Grocery shopping today and then I'm gonna try and get a coat of wax on the taco today before winter. And if theres any time left and I'm not worn out from the wax job maybe I'll work on the outside cat shelter.

I need to do that one of these days and quit going 300 mph all the time.. I bought a Hammock about 3 years ago and it’s still in the original bag in my garage collecting dust. Maybe after reading your post I’ll get it out. Thx for the idea!!

I recently started making a Turtle Dog Stand, for my hammock, so I do not need trees to hang. I made 2 three legged supports already. I just need to get the chain link fence railing for the ridgeline (?)

    Morning all:
Totally different view from the air Mark, although I enjoy the airborne view, I try to keep my feet on the ground as much as possible! :) What is that in the 2nd pic., a lake or the Susquehanna River?

 Welcome Jack, and BEAUTIFUL pics Mark! :proposetoast: Not sure how I'd do in a balloon. Can't take heights anymore, yet if I fly; I'll get a window seat.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! I promise to be a little more useful today....a little. You get wipers, and you get wipers, and you get wipers. At least that. All the clocks changed over the early evening, so I got my extra sleep hour without the hassle. Have a good one!

Hand a lovely birthday dinner with the family. We had planned on going out but pivoted, and kids picked up dinner and brought it over—just fun to see them all.

I got on a nice 50-mile bike ride with my son yesterday. We had a chilly morning but a perfect day for a North Texas ride. It supported Friedrichs Ataxia. I need to work on my average moving speeds. 2019 I was riding with a 15mph avg, sprinting up to 20. I'm way down (10.8 mph). With Covid shuts down, not much ridding last two years, so I haven't been doing as much riding.

Have the fun is, is this muscle cramp due to overworking my muscles, dystonia kicking in, or dehydrated? Or all three are messing with me. I have to time my Parkinson's medications to keep my dystonia at bay while remembering to drink enough water and eat (medicine is every two hours on an empty stomach, so time food in-between).

I need to get my bike packing gear out and go ride/camp/ride/camp. This Texas fall weather is perfect when it's low humidity. Dew point drops, which means colder mornings but what a pleasant time to ride.

It is the lake at Lackawanna State Park - they actually have a hot air balloon launch point at the park.

You know that is a citizen friendly feature of a park. When you launch do people just stop by to watch? I know I would.

They sure do. Usually not many in the morning since we are off at about sunrise, but quite often in the evening. We had maybe 15 people last night - the young kids loved it.

I was at a concert at a small venue last night. The loft at the City Winery in Washington DC. We saw Harper O'Neill, opening performer, and Ward Davis, main performer. Tickets were under $20. We had dinner at the venue which was not bad. The entire night for the three of us including parking was less than $200. At one point Ward broke a string and Harper brought her guitar on stage for him to use.

Well today actually went as planed, grocery shopping and then came home and waxed the taco. It's the cleanest it will be until next spring. Michigan winters can be rough and lots of road salt so I wanted to get another coat of wax on it. While I was outside and waxing I burned up the last of the outside wood box.

And I got to relax a little and watch the fire.

Now I can bring up all the cut offs and scrap from the wood shop and do this again, lol.
