Exactly. You dont have to live in a big city to be a victim of theft. There are rural areas near me that are getting hit simply because people in those rural areas have a false sense of security or believe it only happens in the big cities.

Also, not everyone has a garage to park their car/truck in.

Also, also people are literally stealing cats in broad daylight at grocery stores, mall parking lots, and Home Depot lots.

I figured I'd get some comments about the "newness" of my Taco! lol

It's all street travel for this guy...but I never know when I will drive through non-paved roads.

Living here in Delaware, it's got lots of countryside. Going though some backwoods and you'll see farms, horses, and various sorts of country living.

I like it...compared to where I grew up in SoCal/LA area.

But back to my truck...lots of open "unprotected" space under there. I like the thought of the TRD Skid plate...then after that, the skid plate for the gas tank.

But, I'm also looking at front bumpers too. With wildlife out here in partial country-side, you just never know when something will step out into the road and say, "WTF?!!!"

Ed looks great I wish I had lift access when I did the video! The spacer issue you ran into is confusing as I did that other install on a truck with no skid either and I was still able to tighten it up with no loose spacer issues. I wonder if it’s a small change in year models as it was a 2016. Either way looks great very nice and way too clean !

Nice Bobby ! And you where able to keep your frame drain covers. My winglets where sitting a smidge on top of the inside corner so I removed and trashed them.

Might just be the design on that part of the frame. The dip upward/inward depending on how you view it, had the space that wasn't being filled with the spacer. Luckily, I was able to remedy that with my quick thinking....doh! I'm not a quick thinker...that is so NOT TRUE.

I was leaving the base and pictured the SPACER and its placement on your video and thought...did I @#$% that up?

By the time I got home and looked at it I went, "yeah, I didn't follow Eric's directions"...dumb-butt, I thought to myself.

I wanted to present the corrected measure first before I posted the first photos.

Thank you Eric for making the video. You tried to dummy proof it but buckaroos like me manage to mess it up! lol

No problem glad it did help , and I hope it’s help a few others as well. It’s gotten around 3000 views to bad I am not monetized yet. So wish I could have done a video with a truck on a lift but it also helped show it can be done in the drive way I did not even have the front tires off the ground! Cheers enjoy the weekend!

Is that what those little gray rectangular plug thingies are? Haha! I just kinda rotated them a bit and tightened everything down. Seemed to slightly squash one of them on one edge on the other side.

Thanks man. I'll be honest, I gave those plugs a bit of a tug with my fingers, if they would have just popped out I would have tossed mine too. I was too lazy to drag myself back up off the driveway to grab some pliers so they stayed put. Haha

Dover, last time I was there I was supposed to take a chartered commercial bird to Spain. Got bumped by a full bird and his family on leave. Ended up riding in a jump seat of a C-130. So much for PCS orders having priority.

    Hahahahaha!

Yeah it is...I'm mostly street driver. That's why I got the Sport. Suspension was made for street...according to the description I read before I decided to go with the TRD Sport. That plus the hood scoop...it's my first NEW truck and I wanted it to my liking.

Stolen cats, covered by insurance? Seems like it should be.

I thought so, as long as you have comprehensive, but never looked into it so didn't want to assume. For me that makes it not worth the expense to protect the cat. Spending $250 to protect a $500 deductible doesn't make financial sense to me.

Spending $250 up front rather than a $500 dollar deductible, being without your vehicle for a period of time, and trusting the repairs are done properly, doesn't make financial sense? And potentially an inreased rate due to a claim? Okay.

And if end up getting your cat swiped and you pay the $500 do you then get cat protection? Or pay another $500 deductable down the road? I mean it's cool either way, it's your money. Yeah its kinda what insurance is for but if you can limit your risk of theft for less than a deductible I don't really see how that doesn't make financial sense. To each their own though.
