Anyone out there that is not happy with how their 6112s ride on the 5/6 settings? I currently have mine on 3/4 but will be moving to 5/6 w/ SPC UCAs here in the near future. Rides great on 3/4, IMO. Just curious if my ride quality will suffer much bumping them up.

I went from 4/5 to 5/6. Ride definitely got worse. Not only is it noticeably stiffer, also reduced down travel so my front end tops out when I go fast over rough terrain or hitting a speed bump quickly. The rebound just feels too fast now. With all that being said, it’s still better than stock and isn’t a deal breaker since I wanted the extra lift. But something to think about.

What spring you running? Any weight up front? Just curious cause I’m top settings full skids with 600lb springs and have no complaints. Bilstein are degressive which I’m sure you know.

Running the 550lb springs. Just a skid plate and sliders on the way. I'm hoping the extra weight helps the ride! What clip's are you on with the 600lb springs and how much lift did it give you? I'm thinking a lower clip setting with 600lb will be better since there isn't so much preload on the springs.

I’m running 6/6 with 1/4” spacer for lean with full steel skids from RCI with the weight from skids really softened up ride IMO. Stoked on set up. The 600lb springs have really softened up. Wouldn’t change a thing. I’m at 22 1/2” hub to fender with 265/75/16 on method 16x8 Yokohama x-at measure out a true 32” just for reference

    Work in progress...
My Brother came out to my playground in his stock Off Road. I got to drive to OffRoad on the trail at sensible speed. I love the 6112's on the highway. slower speeds off road, the Off Road, stock set up, is just as good if not better.

On road, almost no difference at all. Still rides very nice. Think most of the firm reviews come from people who put on bigger more aggressive tires at the same time. I ran my stockers for a bit and can say on road set at 2" lift, it's basically the same.

But the second you put on some all terrains, it firms up for sure (even on C load range). Off road at moderate speeds (20-40), you hear the bumps... but don't feel them.

IMO, the ride difference in stock vs billies comes when you offroad. The stock shocks have a more plushy feeling on bumps, and the billies are firmer but quicker to rebound.

    Uh. No. Not at all.

    again... clueless.

huge difference in between stock off road shocks and 6112/5160 set up.... lol

from the way they feel (subjective) to how much better and safer they make the vehicle handle on and off road, to how much tougher they are... The stock Billies might give the impression of a cushier ride to the untrained person, but the performance is all on the side of the 6112/5160s, it’s not even a contest.

Anyone have experience with these and the eibach 2.0 setup? My truck won't go Offroad very often so daily ride quality is a big priority.

Here it is with 11/9 up front and RXT leafs opt 1(5160's are in the mail) Total install by myself took 10 hours including breaks and 2 trips to auto zone... I cant believe how smooth and less chattery it is compared to the oem with only 3k miles on em. Even with the sketchy 4130's still out back its way better then stock.
