It's a "low-mileage" '90s Toyota 4x4. $24k is just market price now. He's throwing the mods in for free :p

Ya. I think I’ll just file them down and call it good. I think there’s enough thread on the bolt to take up the slack if the entire arm was made a little narrow.

Do you have a shop press? If you greased the bushing sleeves before installing you can use the UCA bolt as a press adapter to push things back a bit. There's a risk of bending the bolt (that's why it'll only work on freshly-greased bushings), but it worked well enough to extract my good bushings after the shop messed up the control arms installing them...

Considering a guide worth their weight probably does what they do for a living, I'd gladly share the same discount I get as a vet.

For me, anything I'd get would be for recreational use with the exception of a few items.

Hum. I do have one. Maybe.

These are new ucas and they came with bushings installed. The one that was too wide popped into place with a pretty good bang so I don’t think they were greased much.

Why do contractors get discounts at Lowe’s and Home Depot? They aren’t saving anyone or anything.

But they're influencers. If you see a guide using a product, you might think about buying it yourself. The guide gets a discount, the brand gets advertising. Totally different motivation from the vet/first responder discounts.

I understand, and really one would think that I would be making the argument you're making...seeing as how I'm a vet.

But guides spend a lot of time and use their own gear to get to where they're going/doing. It requires an investment on their part before someone can invest in them as a guide.

I get that they're not out saving lives, etc. But then I could make the same argument about a service member that's a pencil pusher/POG....that's what us grunts call non-grunts.

I guess vets that weren't grunts should get less of a discount or no discount, versus us grunts. :burp:

Yeah that's iffy... you can always try and back off if you see the bolt deflecting more than you're comfortable with.

Judging by the picture, you might even be okay as-is if you can get it in place? The rubber is designed to give anyway.

I'll defer to the more experienced mechanics/mekaniks on that...

Judging by how loose the oem ones fit, I don’t think this is a precision fit. As long as all of the surfaces are square it’s probably ok.

I’ll sleep on it, I mostly assembled the suspension on the other side and it’s looking good.
