Been a while since I was last here, I have gotten myself a project and am rebuilding an engine for a turbo setup, should be more than I am ready for.

Bonus points to whoever can guess the engine this is for:

    No takers?

Hint: This Toyota engine is very similar to the Cosworth BDA

Tig is a skill that can be lost without practice, that or i have to quit drinking so much coffee. But she should hold. Just need to finish welding the wastegate piping, and route the dump pipe.

Ah, it'll be a bigport 16v with rev limit of 9k and ~8.5:1 compression. Hoping for 250 on pump gas, and plenty of room in the motor for more. Perhaps one day I will stuff more air than I should in it and make closer to 400 but it'll be real laggy.

Go for the highest compression pistons you can find. Difference between 8.5:1 and 9.5:1 could be upwards of 50+HP depending on boost levels. Lemme find you a proper turbo…
