I have the Westcott 3/1 lift kit. Installed and aligned by Westcott. Rides great and no rubbing with 285/70-17 tires and zero offset 17×8.5 wheels.

I hate to be "that guy", but is a TRD OR leveled on 5100 able to clear 285/75/16 on stock OR rims and 1.25" spacers? I've searched but was unable to find any results specifically related to my question.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

1 inch spacers would have a better chance of not rubbing. They will basically set your stock OR wheels very close to zero offset.

You know it amazes me, that every single day in here, people stress out and try and spend hours researching if x wheel with y tire with z offset will fit xyz suspension. When all they have to do is spend $150 on a cab mount chop, or simply buy the CMC chop kit and reach out on TW for a hook up and they can literally run any combination up to 305s without rubbing. It’s like jesus freaking christ :frusty:

I agree that is it absurd the amount of time people research and stress over stuffing a truck with x or y tire. I'm not trying to chop off parts of a truck that has been through a decade of engineering, hence my curiosity of what can fit. Toyota did not gear these trucks for much more than a 32" tire if you want longevity out of the machine.

You couldn’t be more wrong….thousands of owners run 33+ tires with zero issues. Expand your mind and stop being brainwashed by Toyota corporate!

This is the perfect set up, IMHO. Stance is right, tires are right, just freakin' awesome! (Now I know what mine will look like....thanks!)

I really like the look of 285/75/16 but also want to still use my stock suspension for now. The wheels I have are -20 offset. Anyone have this set up?

I apologize in advance, I'm a big time noob at wheel set up's and am still learning. I've read, I will need to do a cab mount chop with this set up? Or could I just simply buy a leveling kit?

I don't do any off roading, it's just my daily driver from home to work. I just hope it doesn't rub while turning or doing a u-turn. I'm ok with removing the mud flaps as well.

I greatly appreciate any help or feedback. Thanks guys

A leveling kit won’t help. You’ll need a cmc and even then may rub depending on alignment settings.

They will definitely rub at stock height. I just ran that size before my lift. But I have the Trd Baja wheels which are 16x7.5 +10 mm offset. The mud flaps had to go. The -20 offset will stick out more depending on your wheel width. Expect to rub on the cab mount (probably when you’re about to reach full lock) and maybe the front edge of the fender liner which can be trimmed or adjusted further back.
I plan to run the SCS F5 16x8 -20 soon and I’ll probably need the cab mount chop even tho I’m at a 2 inch lift.

Twin taco! You are literally in every thread I look. Yea I plan to keep them to throw on my wife’s new 4Runner or I might throw the F5’s on her truck. I came up on the set of F5’s the other day. The right thread at the right time. Same way I scored the Baja wheels. If I do decide to sell the Baja wheels, I will let you know.
