    Morning.
Surprise repair on a snowblower for a real good family friend.
Been trying to grab this for years. He has kept it for a backup.
Finally, he gave it to me….
So just blew through it with all adjustments etc.
The carb runs great but leaks. So I have a junk carb I’m going to steal
The seals out of it and see if I can get it to stop.
Then I can surprise him and give it back.
This snowblower has family history. 3 of us bought this exact same blower at the same time.
This is the last one… like 29 years old…
Unfortunately the gen he wanted me to sell for him is junk.
Runs like a top but no power. Very rusted and I think the internals are corroded to much. Not worth
Repairing. Tried to re energize it but no luck.

Which reminds me I need to order and replace a primer bulb for our snow blower.

Good morning all. Grocery shopping and a haircut today.

Ah, time for snowblower pics, and the hope I don't need to see one in action this year!!!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! Well, today I.......who knows. Yesterday ended up with all Putz being productive. Gave everyone their new wipers, and settled in to watch the Cowboys - who didn't bother to show up. I like the Browns, but they had the game well in hand, so back to putz. Cut up the extra sheet of foam and put it in the garage door - now featuring R7!

So I got the thermostat set in the greenhouse, and put the heater inside with the little fan. Everything all ready inside now.

The last thing to finish was getting the door reset, and fixing the foam. I had it velcro'd on, but made it too wide to close without an issue. So, I got some S clips via Amazon, trimmed it out, and there we go. Oh, I threw some grey primer on, because the door is open most of the time, and who wants to stare at all that lettering!

I'll figure out what I'm doing today sooner or later, but I need more :pccoffee:!

Figured out what to do. Except that the new normal is the family that has sold firewood for the 30+ years I've been here has none. So, I found a guy down in New Braunfels, and off I go.

Looks impressive, no? Remember, there is a Dekked under there! That's a quarter cord, which is a comfortable load, no strain at all. I have to go back for the other quarter.

Good to see one of our Tacos actually working like a truck. All I ever see is pics of neat clean empty Tacos looking pretty. Very nice Kurt.

Good morning everyone!! Thanks for the reminder, Kurt!! I need to get our fireplace set for the cold weather. It's going to be cold enough to enjoy a fire here before long.

Looks like JEEPNIK earned himself the permanent Ban Hammer. One more reminder to keep it civil and re-read your post before you hit the button. Just because you CAN say something doesn't mean you SHOULD.

    Be safe out there!!

Dermatologist yesterday, zapped a few pre-cancerous spots, less than usual. I'm back to once a year instead of every 6 months, so I'll take it as good news. Fixed a bad electrical connection on the Taco battery yesterday and installed a new maintenance charger pigtail. Blew out house rain gutters again, then cleaned up deck, driveway, etc. while everything was dry. I'm done mowing for the year, it could use it, but I'll leave it a little longer over winter, helps curtail drifting snow across the driveway, unless we get another hunkerdown nor'easter.

Nice firewood hauler. The greenhouse looks ready for the winter.

I find myself deleting words all the time. No matter what you say you will never convince someone to your point of view so why bother. I have learned that in life if you limit your friends to only persons with your point of view you will not have many friends.

"If you limit your friends to only persons with your point of view... "

That is some real common sense wisdom in an era of common ignorance. I wish more people understood that opinions are not knowledge and we have a better life considering many opinions and reconsidering our own.
Of course I would do much better if I would remember this myself...

Well, let's see.... I need to clean the pond filters again...... or, I can look into that fluctuating idle the last 3 mornings..... Taco wins. Air filter and MAF cleaned.

    20211109_140741.jpg

Top covers both pretty dusty, not that that's the cause. Give them a quick wash.

    20211109_140733.jpg
    20211109_140751.jpg

    Throttle body last, and

    20211109_141559.jpg

Yup. That was it. I worked real slow; now I can put the pond filters off until tomorrow!

FINALLY; a buck bit the dust this morning. A basket racked 7 pointer and a small deer, stood up after I shot and watched a much nicer buck run down on the other side of me, think it was the same one that I took some hair off.

I posted this over at the 50+ thread.

    Good morning to all here.
The 2020 SR5 in the garage goes with me down to Georgia today.
The 2007 SR5 I drive the dog turd out of it.
The 1998 red SR5 with the rebuilt engine has a residual oil leak that I will nail down in the future.
I will be hitting 60 next August
