No hunting today ,slept in . Ever since my eye surgeries I have quite the difficulty seeing in the woods . Especially from up in a tree . I’ve never liked ground blinds but I have one set up now . Still prefer being in a tree but usually after climbing and sitting in a deer stand for hours my shoulders and back pay for it for days also I prefer morning and mid day hunting . I used to stay in all day but now as dusk approaches I can not see very well at all . The deer I got in Pennsylvania was from a ground blind on the edge of a field . Easy on the eyes .

 

Yeah.
As I said, I've never seen a black coloration Gray Squirrel, which is why I asked.
Those maps of a critter's range aren't 100% and sometimes there are pockets outside the nominal range.

BTW, I never revealed that location to anyone, though I've told the story a few times.
No doubt other hunters have been there on occasion, but hey...
I wish them well and hope they become more numerous.

I have seen multiple grays gang up on a black squirrel and chase them though . Pretty funny

 

I'm debating going pheasant hunting taking my gun for a walk this morning.
I don't care any more if I shoot anything or not.

Am I the only one who loses the hour we gain for DST?
After having the fellas for 4 days, I needed out of the house. I was going for lunch with my sister and ended up being with her all day. She’s a crazy bitch, we laughed so hard until we cried. I didn’t get anything done around the house so I got up early to do laundry and a few things around here before I got ready for work. Before you know it, I am running late
I am going to work to relax!!!

The pressure is off me since my Pennsylvania kill My cameras aren’t showing that much here but you never know . I usually see the biggest bucks November 13 -20 . The largest piece of wooded land in my county is across the road from me ( Audubon owned ,not much hunting pressure) and there are other pockets of good size woods now privately owned with no hunting also . Around here it’s either land that’s not hunted or land that’s over hunted .
