    Long story short, this is my cat "Tegriessa". She was my brother's cat then he had passed away from cancer back around June of 2020. She just had kittens about 2x weeks before he passed away and the day he passed we didn't know what to do with the kittens?

    Anyways, family members all agreed a shelter was not an option so everyone started choosing what kitten they would adopt.

    The shi**y part was that nobody spoke up for the mom cat??? :confused:o_O:mad: In all reality I really couldn't take her because of the apt where I live, but I was able to "convince" the lady I rent from if I could take in the cat because I was NOT about to put the mom cat in a shelter and/or pound. This all had to be done fairly quickly too so it wasn't like there was "time" to find anyone or any place.

    Anyways, I'm more of a "dog person", but she grabbed my heart pretty quick. :oops::thumbsup:
    IMG_20210801_204412847.jpg

    I always call her "little girl".

    Oh, the one thing she did that everyone was extremely surprised by was that she would always come up to me and easily let me pick her up? Everyone was saying that with any other person, she would tend to "kick away" when they would hug her, but with me, she would let me cradle her? Everyone was saying that I likely had the same/similar scent as my brother or she could just somehow "sense" I was related to him??? :notsure:

    She's 3x years old now.

    Thanks brotha!!! :fistbump::cheers:

    Yeah, I don't think I had ever mentioned it?

    I was just browsing TW and saw this thread, read the OP and his experiences, and could definitely relate in many ways with what happened to the OP.

    But yeah, it got me so mad that everyone wanted a "kitten", but hey, screw the mom cat!!!??? I was saying to myself, WTF??? So, took it upon myself to step to the plate and see what I could do. I took her in, took her to the vet, got her checked up, shots, the whole works. Bought her a cat tree and everything in between. :thumbsup:

    I'm "new to cats" so there was and sort of still is a learning curve for me. One thing I learned was NOT to buy "toys". :goingcrazy: I found out, after the fact, she likes to play with simple crumpled up pieces of paper??? :confused: I mean, f*** the almost $50+ worth of toys that I had bought because I would buy them and she just had no interest? :confused: So, I would buy another different type of toy and the same thing??? :help: One day I go to crumple a piece of paper and threw it for whatever reason and there she goes CHASING and "batting it around with her paws"??? o_O:facepalm::frusty::censored::laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl: Her store bought toys are currently collecting dust!!! o_O:mad::annoyed::frusty::facepalm::bananadead::laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Oh, one more picture... I took this of her with my phone camera... just because... and this was the result of that picture??? :confused::eek::goingcrazy::help: No tricks with editing or anything... this picture is the "raw footage" if you will. One of my all time favorite pics of her!!! :laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl::thumbsup:

    For some reason Igloo and Peppa will not sleep on the blanket. Maybe they don't like the material, or maybe they're just leery of the 2 beasts pictured? :notsure:
