This is exactly what I want as well, in red (to match the Meso lights) If it's doable, I'm in!

Just got caught up on the thread. My above reply was to an earlier post. I'm still in for red.

    Yay!

How does the lights get power? Does the light come on when the front driver side/passenger side door and/or both doors are open?

Same similar question in regards to a set of 4 lights, 2 in the front foot well and 2 in the rear foot well?

The idea with the dim is you’re in the truck with parking lights on and maybe driving around, doors are closed. Sort of pure ambience lighting there.

Then full bright when you park and open the door, similar to dome lighting.

That would be 5500K white, roughly. It’s what I have on my truck and I think it matches nicely.

Sorry I thought Dave captured most of it.

    • Lights are powered using 2 separate factory lighting circuits. One is HIGH on the PWM and one is LOW
    • Lights will come on whenever you open any of your doors, unlock the truck, or approach the vehicle if you have a smart key (but that last part is irrelevant since it’s an interior light)
    • The kit is for 2 lights (front wheel wells) but you can purchase 2 more separately. I’m going to set a hard recommended limit at 4. All lights will work in tandem as they’re daisy chained together.
We’re tossing an idea around. Would people see utility in having a switch for these? One that is AUTO (with door/unlock), OFF, and ON (override)? I’ve never seen a switch for footwell lights before but I’ve been asked and suggested to make one from multiple people. A custom switch like this is a pretty substantial financial investment as its 100% custom. I would remove the indicator LEDs so they don’t drive you insane when in AUTO mode 24/7. It would fit the factory switch form factor, be ice blue, plug and play with a small add-on harness, can be added after purchase, etc. I wouldn’t half-ass it if we go for it, so let me know before I drop money on tooling.

Thanks for in depth answers to my questions. I am now better informed and will be looking forward to these lights when they become available.

I do like the idea for the option of a factory switch, but unfortunately for my setup I do not have any available slot. If you could make it connect to MESO Customs TRD Pro shift knob button then that would be awesome.

Vote for color is came color as cubby in dim mode or oem ice blue. No switch for me. Would want 4 (at least) front and rear footwells. Would like to see smaller single led add on's for front door cards (release handle, grab handle, bottle cubby)

Any way to tie it into the door switch setting using the overhead switch?

What is this word… enough?

That is doable. @daveeasa house of custom stuff might be able to hook you up with a solution. It would definitely be a custom build though.
