You have entered a triangle. Each of the three points of the triangle is labeled with one of the following:

    - Good (Build Quality/Light Performance)
    - Cheap
    - Aesthetically Pleasing

    Pick two.

Good and Aesthetic: BHLM LED retrofit projectors. $950+

Cheap and Aesthetic: Find any "cheap" LED for sale here, and then find the Chinese original and skip paying for a brand name that adds nothing. Enjoy lighting up your nearby wall and feeling proud of your upgrade, at the expense of light throw. $100?

Good and Cheapish: Upgraded halogens and BHLM. $350ish

Are there any respectable (good but not expensive) fog light kits (wires, bezel, light etc) for an SR?

Is a 2019 prewired buy any chance?

I need to do mine too, pretty sure mine is already pre-wired since it has the V6, haven’t looked yet.

Going to cry once pony up and get the Baja Designs, have some friends that run them on their dirt bikes, they are super bright and can take an awful lot of abuse.

I have a set of factory 2021 TRD OR fog lights and bezels that came off a TW member’s truck at 1000 miles. I’m in the San Fran area, someone can have the whole set for $40.

    I ended up getting these
    https://www.amazon.com/CPW-Replacement-2016-2019-Toyota-Driving/dp/B07JNG3SNK

CPW Compatible with [2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 Toyota Tacoma] Clear Lens Bumper Driving Fog Lights Pair + Wiring + Switch Kit

They had fairly good reviews (though reviews can be faked these days) and a used like new one for 35 ish. We will see how the fitment/ install goes…. If the housing and bezels are good I may swap out the bulbs ar some point…

For the sake of everyone driving near you, please don’t. Read the fog light thread I posted, you can get legit well designed and well engineered led fogs with safe beam patterns for about $100.

Basically Diode Dynamics SS3 is the best option. Sport is best value per dollar at $220. Direct fit for all Tacoma fog bezel trim except the TRD Pro rigid ones. Yellow is preferred if you actually need it for inclement weather.

There are some authorized retailers that offer free shipping.

I believe the ~ $100 ones @skierd is thinking of are the morimotos which have a good pattern as well at a lower price point.

lol… you ready for another headache? Have you seen this yet: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nitoris-oem-sr-foglight-mod.451495/

It’s a great read. @Nitori is a beast. You’ll find out if you are pre-wired. Mine was not. The issue was getting the lights powered and controlled by a switch.

Here is my advice: save some cash & go with SwitchPros or something similar. Garmin has a system which is dope, especially if you have an Overlander.

I went with the Baja kit and added the OEM fog light trim. Heretic makes a kit as well. Baja makes a, “street legal,” version of their fogs. I love my @Baja Designs and will be adding more.

I know it’s more expensive but if you have any intention of adding additional lights or accessories then a switch system is the only way to go.

Hopefully that helps, having fogs is awesome. Good luck!

Gents, I recently installed Diode Dynamics in my SR using a Cali raised ditch light wire harness and an OEM style fog light push button. Much easier than tapping the stock harness and wire buses.

The ol SX is moving along now. After just over a year of having it and about 15k miles (didn't drive it for 6 months), I think I am goiing to start doing some of the aesthetic work to it that I have always wanted to do to my pervious tacos, but never had the money or the time to do. As of right now I have only done minor things like wheels and tires and a set of OEM LED fogs off a 2020 TRD OR, as well as sticking a tow hitch on for moving my boat, but now that I have had it for some time and a little more scratch in my pocket, I think I am going to start with getting my headlights retrofitted by TC Custom lighting, and then move to the grille.

Was also playing with the idea of getting the TRD cold air intake for that throatier sound, but I'm not sure if it will be worth it. The hope so far has to try and keep mainly toyota parts on it, especially when it comes to electronics but later down the line I am considering moving to the aftermarket.

I also plan to upgrade some other things as time goes on such as getting it lifted, doing a new exhaust, etc. but I think for now I ought to just wait for things to break before I start replacing them
