Kolpin Rhino Grip Flex mounts. Farrrrrrrrrrrr superior to Quickfist. You can keep both an axe and shovel on same side if you use a pair of 3” Kolpin mounts. The axe & shovel fit in the mounts as if they were one tool. I use this setup on my truckbed MOLLE panels.

How are you guys mounting bikes on your Prinsu racks? I need to put my kid's bikes up top for an upcoming trip and I'm sure the HiveMind here has it all figured out.

    See post #'s 589, 593 and 597 one-page back in this thread.

If your kid's bike doesn't have a thru hold axel, Rocky Mounts makes a similar mount that uses a skewer.

Anyone know of current makers of a side rail Hi-Lift mount for a Prinsu, preferably one that has a resting arm / bolt setup were it can be mounted and unmounted by one person easily.

I wanted to put the hood into shadow when I mounted the light bar, to prevent glare. But there is a horrendous amount of wind noise - will it go away if I move the light bar forward around 40 mm?

question for those that are using the Rockymounts Driveshaft. What are your thoughts on mounting the bike backwards using this? I feel like getting the bike onto my roof rack and the fork mounted in would be easier with the fork at the back of the cab so I can stand in the bed and do it. Do you think there is any problem mounting a bike like that assuming the rear tire is secured well?

I can't imagine it would be an issue. Might not be the best aerodynamically but should work. Key as you said, make sure the rear tire is secure.

You could try going even further back. I still have excellent output and no wind noise, so maybe further back is why? Not sure. You can even see the line the fairing produces so you can see that it's not killing output at all, just hood glare. The light in the foreground of that is from my bumper lights.

Victory 4x4 makes a good looking rear wheel tray that should make it very secure. It’s probably overkill, but I like the thought of having a rear mount rather than just trying to strap the wheel down to a cross bar.

Billie Bars has this for the rear tire. Low profile. They sell straps separate or you could just go with off the shelf velcro strap. They have a longer version too for about $10 more. I have considered this but for now I just use a small wire strap twist tie thing to secure it to the Prinsu crossbar. Not elegant, but works for my current needs.

If you get it, please put up a review. It is on my list of something to get eventually and would be intersted in how you like it.

I’m going to have to measure and see how my bike sits. I’ll have to make sure it isn’t going to hit the fairing.

Oh that is right, totally forgot you wanted to mount rear wheel forward.

FYI i realized I havea coworker that mounts his bike like that in his bed on a raised platform. I think you should be OK.

in the bed has a lot less airflow hitting the bike, but my main concern was the rear tire hitting the wind fairing. I think im going to throw the bike up there one day this week and see where the rear tire sits before I order the driveshaft from rockymounts.

Could you point me to which rack that is?? CBI isn't showing a topper rack on their site. Couple questions for you please. Are the mounting points perfectly flat? So, if I wanted to mount the rack on a flat surface will it mount correctly? Also, length please I assume they would offer a length for 5' and 6' beds.. Reason I'm asking is my overland trailer build requires a rack on the lid to match my PRINSU rack and I feel this is ideal. Thanks!
