manual trans 4wd 3rd gen runners aren't easy to find in nice shape, he might find someone that bites on it. Still crazy priced though

Apparently it's woman-owned, so that's an automatic +10% value too

At the very least they'll get offered a lower high number. Just have to play the patience game and hold out for someone with more money than smarts.

i love it when a customer received a prototype a year ago, and then decides on a random monday mornign that they want to use it, they want to use it RIGHT NOW, and they want you on the phone to support the web interface that you slapped together for it

Time to start building timeouts into everything i write.

Guess that's one strat. I'll just fuckin re-list mine (rwd auto) at 12 grand then people will subconsciously wonder if it's worth it. Then "low-ball" me at my original asking price lol

For you 5VZ owners; would you temporarily run single electrode spark plugs while waiting for your dual electrode plugs?

I ask because I opened up the hood to find the spark plug boot not fully seated on the spark plug.

It pops on but doesn't fully seat.

The end/tip is somewhat deformed so I just got some NGK OE replacement wires.

Unfortunately 2 auto parts stores don't carry either of the Denso or NGK dual electrode plugs.

So I'm wondering if I should just replace the wires at the moment, and order plugs and run my current ones if they're in 'good enough' shape....or run single electrodes while I wait for the duals if my current ones are really bad.

I don't have any misfires or anything, especially when I floor it but it idled a little erratically for a minute which prompted me to check.

You'll be fine. I've only run dual electrodes for like 10k miles out of 50. The "dual" is purely for the wasted spark's "double wear" (ie it makes them last longer).
Also I've had trouble seating the NGK wire plugs as well and usually rotating while pressing gets them in.

    As always, gap em properly

    Yeah that's ridiculous.

Though I'd still sell mine at my asking 2 months ago, just haven't bothered cause I was too busy.

Because of that, I've stuck with the "I'll keep it" mindset.

I run singles but that's what the recommended iridium plugs come as for the boosted 3.4s. I don't think it would be a big deal for N/A but I might be wrong

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You can run single electrode, they last half as long on the weird wasted spark the 5vz uses tho.

Should be fine temporary, just will wear faster cause of the wasted spark.

Looks like correct wirespeed and travel (which will still lay a nice flat weld) but not enough heat and it won't penetrate for shit.
