I have a 2nd gen that I installed rear airbags with daystar cradles. I love them a lot. Like a lot.

I may be getting a 2022. are the airbags the same to install as a 2nd gen? Anything to consider?

    Thanks!

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
I put them on my second gen also and added them to my 3rd when I bought. Was easier to put on the second time, would do it again.

The installation process is straight forward, couple hours and all done!

Anyone notice their truck ride stiffer after installing the firestone airbags? I have the Icon 1.5 add a leaf and when I added the airbags the ride was so stiff even with no air in them, I took them off. Thought perhaps because the way they are mounted to the spring pack outside of the U bolts that maybe the took some of the leaf's flexibility away causing the stiffer ride.

If you put too much air (about 45-50 psi) - yes, it will be very stiff ride. I have camper shell and constantly about 300 lb of tools, so i usually pump my air bags to 28-30 psi. Maybe Your problem because of additional leaf

my understanding is not enough rebound in the shock causes a rough ride. With aal and bags you may just have too much spring (rate) for the shock to handle

In the rear I have Eibach Pro Truck Sport Shocks good for up to 1.5" lift as well as Pro Truck Coilover 2.0 in front. Apologies for not mentioning that in my other post.
