So many variations and personal preference for taste in the end. I like the sweeter side with caramel and vanilla notes. ECSB fits the bill well for a reasonable price. Angel’s Envy is a price step up but very good IMO.

Exactly. Kinda like scotch. I love the super peaty ones like Ardbeg. I may try Russell's Reserve 10 next. Since it's easy to find and Wild Turkey's response to Eagle Rare apparently.

I didn’t like the 10 year if I recall. Been a while. I may be confused.

I like Buffalo Trace, but it is hard to get here. It sells out the same day it comes in, practically. Elijah Craig is one of my goto bourbons for taste and price. Maker's has a limited out now that is really tasty. I enjoyed a bottle of the FAE-02 recently. The Evan Williams 1783 is also pretty good. I have not had a chance to try their single barrel vintage. A couple that I don't hear many people mention are the Four Roses single batch and small barrel. Both are really nice.

I find the regular Four Roses too sweet also. 1783 for the money is delicious although a bit "thin". The EW single barrel has a more rounded flavor and a very good bourbon for $28.

I'd take 3 at that price. Should last a while. How so cheap? I thought MSRP was like $35.

I went through 2 bottles of pappy last year and flipped my other 2. Soooo over rated imo. Buffalo trace is my daily and I order it by the case. Have an in with a buffalo trace rep and he keeps me pretty stocked up. @Bubbles depends on the weller. I can get sr and 107 pretty easily. The full proof and 12 year are harder. I got a bottle of full proof store pick last year I’m saving for a good occasion.

Currently remodeling the farm house I bought and no internet, once things settle down I will post some pics up of both the remodel and bourbon collection. Unlock more bourbon guys I drink my collection haha. I have a bottle of Eagle rare and blantons I’m drinking this week while doing the work!

Nc I find Eagle rare for 25-30 bucks. In sc it’s 42-100 depending on the store. I won’t pay more then 50 for it. I scored a 1.75 for 70 bucks in barnwell and it’s the only one I’ve ever seen in the state. I bought 12 bottles at the distillery over the summer for 21.99 a bottle.

You can get it at oasis up in Spartanburg, that’s the biggest buffalo trace allocation in that part of the state. Might have to ask, do some prying, but they have it.
