Picked up this Aero upper receiver at Fleet Farm yesterday. Sent my barrel to get pin & weld at Retro Arms Work on Tuesday. Got there on Thursday and John shipped it out yesterday afternoon. His reputation for excellent work, communication and quality put him on my #1 list for gunsmithing.

I added a light to my daily carry. Sig P365XL with Romeo Zero and TLR-7 SUB. I really like the light. Response is both tactile and audible with a positive click on/off. Light is warmer than the Surefire with better visual identification and overall brighter. Runtime is MUCH better than the Surefire.

If you guys only knew how long and how badly I've wanted one of these things.

Will post again once I get the grip laser-stippled and RMR mounted.

Awesome piece. Why stipple the grips. don't they come with pretty aggressive grips on them already?

Not too aggressive, no. I'm very attached to my G19 with rubber Talon Grips, and wanted to keep the grip pattern similar if possible. Gonna go with a company called Dark Side Precision. Here's an example of their work:

Here’s a couple photos, I don’t think they came with the black front forearm so I think someone did that a while back. Wish they hadn’t done that. But, everything else is original including the flip up rear sight.

Took the little Ruger for another range run. A few flyers, but overall pretty good. It’s breaking in nicely. 36EA7CE6-F799-49A3-97B7-288608C8D9C2.jpg

Focus on the fundamentals, do LOTS of dry firing.

I got some of the snap caps so I’m going to work more on that. Adjusting the sight will help some I’d think everything hits to the left unless it’s my grip. I shot his 19x it’s quite a bit heavier than my shield and recoil felt less

I use one of these when working with my son’s on their grip. It provides immediate feedback for making minor adjustments FA171822-9107-4056-951F-265D3186C94E.jpg

Too much finger in the trigger guard/on the trigger, causing you to push the gun left a fraction. Try the dry firing, it sounds and looks stupid, but really works.

Also focus using just the pad of the finger to press the trigger.
