That's pretty much the consensus around the water cooler lately. Not very many people going out of their way to say mean things, but a whole lot of people being sort of impressed and cautiously withholding final judgment until they have some miles put on them. If money wasn't so tight and I didn't just do like $2K worth of body damage to my truck, I might think about swapping.

Did anything stand out during the drives?

The base level of equipment and tech offered without add ons is far and above the competitions for sure. The truck is far quieter than Tacos (no surprises there). The velocity sensitive braking is interesting, but intuitive.

Even the S model has inclinometers and cool gauges and such. Base level sound system is good, SV level is excellent. Android Auto and Apple Carplay is always nice, that's almost standard on everything now though.

overall the frontier is great the only thing i disliked was its steering but the one i drove could have had an issue to where it didnt turn properly who knows....... overall everything about the truck is way better then the current market besides the ranger. in my opinion the ranger is still ahead for everything besides the radio and ac controls the frontier wins in that department

Idk man, the XL Ranger I drove a while back was still a dog house almost work truck, esp compared to the Frontier S, which has a ton of crap that the OR Taco has (like inclinometers)

However.... The Taco.... Still has the most cupholders in the ENTIRE midsize truck segments

i drove a xlt fx4 model the xl is the base model thats why... the lower tier frontiers i had no interest in because if i was going to go to a new truck i was going to get the pro-4x the pro-4x had the best interior in my opinion but the ranger has more power and potential power unlike the frontier. plus better towing and was a bit more comfortable to me i couldnt get to comfy in the frontier tbh

also my truck dont have inclinometers so its never been something i worry about to much lol
