    They’re 17x8.5 -10mm.

I haven’t noticed it all during breaking, I notice it the most at just a rolling speed (5-10mph) I can year the kind of creaking, popping noise. I’ve noticed that even while stopped, if I turn the whee back and forth I can sometimes replicate it

Guys, thanks for all the responses (outside of grumpy pants), I really appreciate the help from the Tacoma community. Hoping I can get this resolved tomorrow when I take it back

Ok guys. I took the SPC UCAs off and put the stockers back on. The creaking, thudding sound is still there.. I hear it most noticeably at low speeds and when going over bumps/turning.

They’ve checked and re-torqued the sway bar. Idk what else it could be. Could it be the torquing of the UCA while the truck is on the lift vs torquing on the ground?

    Any ideas?

Here’s a list of things it may be, anyone have anything else?

    Tire rubbing against break drive?
    Axel binding?
    CV?
    Torque lug nuts?
    Front body mounts?
    CMC too close to washers?
    Lower control arm bolt?
Upper rubber mount is cut open and the sleeve on the inside is rubbing directly on the body?

Have you disconnected the sway bar link and drive around without it connected? Look into a sway bar drop kit. It’s advised for trucks with a lift

Check your front cab mounts. Maybe they were loose, or became loose when you chopped, and you didn’t notice. Is there a chance the actual cab mount bolt assembly is now rubbing against the welded plate when the truck moves?

The only things that were changed in the front are:

    1/2” Top plate
    Cab mount chop
    Bigger tires

the UCAs were replaced, but then I switched them back to stock. I’ve had top plates before on other Tacomas and haven’t had any issues with noise, especially since it’s only moving the stock suspension 1”. I’m thinking it’s gotta be with the cab mount chop or loose cab mount bolts.

I had a similar noise issue with my icon ucas. An extra dose of grease and loosening the ucas and re-torquing on the ground with the wheels on resolved it.

How much space do you have between the sway bar and coil?

Check the needle bearing. To check this put the truck 4 hi and drive it around, if it no longer does it , but still does it when you switch back to 2wd that's your problem. Ecgs makes a bushing to remedy the issue. From what I've read it commonly shows itself when tacomas are lifted

    1. The needle bearing is not well engineered and usually that poor engineering shows itself as soon as its lifted. The lift doesn't cause the problem as much as exposes a bad engineering flaw.
    2. He's asking for help , not complaining. Kind of the point of an enthusiast forum where people commonly modify their vehicles. If your contribution is leave it alone and don't modify anything , you may be better served to go hang out drinking coffee at the dealership with the service writers.
    3. The most important rule of life...... don't be a dick.
