    Ah okay. I see.

Shouldn't be any reason why you can't update with no trouble since you are already a VFTuner user with a master key.

For anybody who does purchase a Maggy supercharger without the VFTuner Lite software from them, they're going to want to make sure that they've got a VFTuner Pro user local to them who can flash their truck with a tune, such as the Yotawerx tune, otherwise they'll be dead in the water with a blower unit and no way to tune their truck. They'd then need to either get VFTuner Lite or regular VFTuner to proceed anyway.

Of course, there are exceptions to this. You yourself are a perfect example, as a prior/current VFTuner owner/user. I'm willing to bet that a fair number of Maggy customers already had OVTune/VFTuner in some form prior to purchasing the blower.

Eagerly looking forward to a better tune, and someone who will actually listen to customer feedback for improvement.

I suppose the first step would be asking you guys what you're looking for from a tune?

From what I've observed on my own since the Maggy kits started shipping and from what owners such as @a2lowvw and @Formidable and others have told me, I believe that I have a good idea of what the primary goals of the tune need to be, as well as "secondary" ones.

But there's nothing wrong with widening the pool of input and getting more feedback from what you guys are looking for.

With regards to shifting, my plan for the time being has been to use Yotawerx 3GT 6AT NA shift logic which is more conservative than other more aggressive tunes out there (and has resulted in a sort of unintentional eco-tune of sorts), because the common thing I was told by supercharger owners was that they were missing OVT2.0, especially people who'd been NA tuned before getting boosted.

My theory is that with the extra power on tap, especially down low, that the truck won't be trying to shift a bunch and won't require drastic shift table changes, but we won't really know until we start focusing on that

@mZiggy shouldn't everything be fine tuned to the end users mods? I would think that bigger tires, regears, exhaust/intake, location (temp and elevation) and general use would be a huge improvement on its own. It looks like magnuson is sending one cookie cutter tune for everyone.

Any way to offer data logging where the tune is created from actual driving data? A few emails back and fourth and presto.

I'm up for assisting as a ginnie pig.

Creating all sorts of separate tunes based on varying mods is a great way to quickly drown, to be quite blunt.

There's a reason why Magnuson's tune warranty is void if you swap out a bunch of other parts (so I'm told?). Their tune is designed for an otherwise stock or close to stock truck with the kit installed.

I intend to offer options like including the edits for larger tires, or aftermarket gears, much like the NA tune options, but at this time I am not intending to effectively create a separate custom tune for each individual truck.

The minimum benchmark or goal here for the Yotawerx SC tune is one that everyone can run safely, while netting more power along with improved drivability (shifting, response, throttle control, etc).

I believe we already have a tune that could be well received by many. But there are some aspects that I would really like to continue to focus on to make this tune great, rather than just potentially acceptable or "a good alternative".

Probably not going to happen until there is a readily available fueling upgrade for the 3rd gen trucks.

I’m sure the tune y’all come up with will be perfect. Shift logic doesn’t apply to me. Are you thinking of increasing the red line? I feel like it hits the limiter too quick. I miss the couple extra hundred RPM from OV.

I've got these guys a *bit* on the lower side, but I may raise them up a few hundred rpm here at some point

Has anyone found the actual rev limit on the 2gr yet? I guess what I'm trying to say is what is the theoretical max rpm before bad things start to happen? (valve float, spun bearing etc etc...)

On the NA side for the 3GT, we set the MT's to 7250 and ATs to 7000

I took my MT when it was NA up to 7250 to confirm a couple times but other than that...nah. Nobody drives that high in the rpm band. Lol

I remember once I was really gettin on shortly after installing the s/c and bounced like 3 times before looking down and was like "why in the hell did it lose power like that???" Then had an immediate "DUH!" moment. I don't have any kind of exhaust mods or intake mods so you can hardly hear the damn thing! lmao

We can probably go well into the 7k range with the addition of titanium intake valves. I'm going to occasionally need the extra RPM on my build, with a 4.78 first gear.

    Lol

This next bit may just be a difference in driving style/preferences, but even with my TTs I didn't push into high rpm except when doing datalogs. During normal driving, I just drove it like a normal Ecoboost truck, had plenty of fun with it, I don't think I ever saw more than 4k, maybe 4500 rpm, during spirited driving. I wasn't trying to race anyone.

So the current fuel cut I've set for @a2lowvw and @Formidable *could* be pushed a little bit higher I'm sure......but there may not be much cause to do so other than bragging rights and dick swinging lol

I can understand that. But I have to say, I'm of the mind that if I can use it safely, then I'd rather have it when I need it than not at all. But of course, I'm at the will of the tuner so I'll take whatever they provide, they (you) def know more than me in tuning. lol

Side question unrelated to the S/C thread: What is this 3GT you keep referencing? Is it the name of a tune? I don't remember seeing anything about it until communicating with you in this thread. Just curious so I can be on the same page when you reference it.
