any body have a custome fix for the lame ass cup holders we have in our trucks!? mines a 98 m/t and the holes for the cups just seem huge. drinks are always too small to fit tightly into the holder... i was thinkin maybe some type of foam or something... anybody have a slick idea to remedy this flaw?

Don't forget the beer while you're at it.

What types of cups do you have that are too small? What about those grippers that old cup holders had that actually 'held' the cups in? EDIT: Those foam inserts that act like fingers are what I am talking about - they hold the cup when put in and don't release until you exert enough force.

Here is a shot of the bottom side of the console. do you see the little tabs around the cup holder? that's the tabs that are in the cup holder. Do you have the same setup where you have little black tabs the stick out into your cup holders?

It looks like it mounts up the same go to a junk yard and buy one form a 01-04 then you will be able to have the little tabs.

Or you can by a new one for $150.00 from Toyota.

I've been looking for 6 years for a junkyard center console from a 00-04 to replace the stupidity of my '98

    Good luck.

Also, last I checked it was $280 for the console from Toyota.
