3.5 lift, 315/75-16, DIY hybrid front bumper, skids, sliders, ditch lights, hood struts, tailgate lock, bed rack, custom exhaust, horn meant for an actual truck, neoprene seat covers
    On 2 Nov, $69.76 for 18gal ($3.859/gal)
Friday on my way home to Gilbert, had to fill up while going through downtown(got carried away and was on fumes)... $70.10 for 18.95gal ($3.699)

Lift kit brought me down to about 17-17.5mpg, now to do the viper cut and CMC and mount the 315/75-16's sitting in my garage... that ought to make mpg fun...

Does anybody know what size the bolt is that goes through the 1 inch ball on the Dashtop Multi Mount? That info is nowhere to be found on their website.

That's a pretty serious (and envy-inspiring) list. This kind of rig could overland pretty far into the wilderness. There's a wide range. At the low end you could just camp in a ground tent and bring normal camping supples. Then move to an in-bed tent with some additional storage and electronics. Then a roof-top tent, etc. Best to start modest and build over time.

Yeah, I could prob get out and about with my stock rig and maybe spend 1k and be fine as I already have a ground tent and stove etc. All the extras are nice but EXPENSIVE. Roof top tent really surprised me

$7 is the cheapest and easiest mod around here. Not leaving my headlights off when reversing in a parking lot at night or on the street.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Last week installed a new set of KO2's, moving up from the stock 265 70 16 to 265 75 16. My previous KO2's had 50,000 miles on them, and at 40,000 they became unbearably noisy. Driving on pavement was like driving on a gravel road. I expect the gas mileage will take quite a hit, I notice have to step on the pedal a lot harder now to get it moving like it used to, especially up steep hills. Will find out after I measure the mileage on this tank of gas.

Two of the older KO2's were out of round, due to over 100 hard off-road trips in the last 3 years. Likely belt damage from driving thousands of off-road miles like in the pic below.

They still had 6/32 tread on them, but I had reached my limit on the noise and vibration. Pretty smooth now.

Also waxed the truck yesterday, good to get that in before winter.

Hah, then I am back in the bush this week and it has been snowing where I'm heading and it will be bad mud and snow. Wash that wax right off. The undercarriage and skid plates are not so pretty, the truck has taken a beating. The inside not so clean, I wash the the mud off the drivers side floor mat once in a while and that's about it.

90% of the stuff that most "overlanders" put on their truck isn't necessary and can be done with your average camping gear. Recovery gear is important if you are going to push your truck into some interesting places.

Not true, $4 USD/gallon converted to Cdn/litre @ today’s exchange rate of $1.24 is $1.31/L. I just paid that at 7/11 in Edmonton. So it is exactly the same at 7/11. Gas is cheaper at Costco though, currently at $1.22/L. So gas is cheaper or the same where I live in Canada.

I think your conversion to US$ is backwards.

Which is why I said gas is cheaper than $4 USD/us gallon where I live. Not sure why my station is $1.31, because a lot in Edmonton are $1.39. Costco is fixed at $1.22 at all Edmonton Costco locations though.
