Fair enough. I am sure Kyle Busch will come out of sensitivity training a changed man also. LOL...

Cup drivers looking for a ride in 2022:
    • Ryan Newman
    • Matt DiBenedetto
    • Ryan Preece
    • Michael McDowell*
    • Anthony Alfredo*

With Zane Smith(#21) and Sheldon Creed(#2) out, GMS has two potential open seats, though they also need sponsorship for those rides.
Austin Hill is also out at Hatori (#16).

*FRM is trying to sell the team and the driver's futures weigh in the balance

Sheldon is moving to Xfinity under RCR with a fulltime sponsor from Whelen Engineering. Good move for both parties.

well, pending the sale of FRM. That charter is worth more now with the Daytona 500 win.

Charter’s just seem like NFT’s to me.

JD Motorsports just announced Jeffrey Earnhardt is out of a ride for 2022.

At your core how much have you actually changed in the course of your life? Like your core beliefs. I mean you learn things, you might realize that you have to act a bit differently around someone or a group than you might want to. You might find is easer to be more reserved in some situations or even more outspoken in others. But really, when you are standing in the mirror with no one else in the room. How much have you changed? For most the answer is very little. Of course there are exceptions but an overwhelming majority of people do not actually change. They do not feel wrong for most of what they apologize for. It is just a method of making it go away. That is all I am saying. This will be my last response as I have nothing to gain by continuing to stress my point. You have your opinion, I have mine. In some places they intersect and in others they veer vastly astray. Hence the diversity that we all enjoy. Celebrate the diversity, I do not need to come to your conclusion nor do you to mine.

Agree to disagree. I can think of countless ways I'm different than I was even 2 years ago. I've seen it in others as well. Continuing to educate yourself and being open is how we evolve. You're obviously welcome to believe whatever you like about KL, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is true.

Fact is, Matty D is a racecar driver without a ride and he has received several offers, which he has turned down because he wants to be more vocal. Those are facts, not opinions. He's entitled to his views and he's more than welcome to stand for them. But given that he's not proven himself to be an invaluable asset, I don't expect teams to put up with that... Particularly top tier rides that have lots of incoming talent they already don't have enough room for. I like his heart and I like his tenacity but I think he's going about it completely wrong if he truly wants to continue racing. If it isn't that important to him, that's his prerogative but he'll be fading himself into irrelevancy. Maybe he's ok with that, or maybe a deal will come together despite all that. I'm not holding my breath though unless Brad Keselowski or Rick Ware decide he's worth it enough. I rather doubt it though unless he swallows a little pride for a little bit

I gotta say, the quality of discourse in this thread is really commendable compared to Facebook or R/NASCAR.

The irony of Wallace finishing last as Larson hoisted the championship trophy is not lost on me...

I know Matt and his family personally, I think the frustration and dejection is affecting his social media presence. Hopefully he pulls a deal together but if not, I think he has resigned himself to exploring other avenues in life.

In other news, Harvick STILL has his helmet on!!

I think he still has his helmet on is so he doesn’t have to listen to the Man of the house.

LOL, it’s a long story man. Let’s just say my problem child from my military days was/is all Michigan. Don’t take it personal.
