My buddy Ed helped me install this thing yesterday. 7-8 hours? Gonna call bullshit on that one. Maybe on a brand new Tacoma with two experienced installers cutting half the instructions out. The instructions were very well done. We ran into issues getting the crank pulley off, (pulley holder bolts bent, had to bump start with breaker bar resting on frame), torquing the crank pulley down, etc. The total time was 15 hours. This includes draining the oil, changing the filter, draining coolant, removing the radiator, (to get an impact onto the crank pulley which ended up failing anyway), changing spark plugs, (bitch to get some of the coil packs out), cleaning some sludge out of the runners under the lower intake manifold, (catch can highly recommended), filling oil, filling coolant, burping the system at the end. There are definitely steps in that 260+ step install manual that I think folks are omitting when they say 7-8 hours install time. Anyways, had a blast! Not quite sure why folks complain about the power bump. It’s definitely an improvement over stock.

Dyno results for the Magnuson supercharger. Significant gains over the OV tune 2.0.

Yotawerx @mZiggy and @tonered forced induction tune uploaded. This truck is now a test mule for the manual transmission version. So far so good! Tuning on the dyno scheduled for Nov 18th.

74 Weld billet aluminum UCA’s installed. The bronze finish was stripped and these were hard anodized for durability. Caster set at +3.7 degrees.

Just installed this carbon fiber steering wheel. Beautiful and ergonomic.

But… the clock spring doesn’t fit! So… no heating element.

    :annoyed:

Install was straight forward given the difference in clock spring I couldn’t proceed with the heating element install. Basically just a wheel swap.

    1. Disconnect battery
    2. Undo side panels with plastic interior panel remover tool
    3. Torx 30 bit undo the airbag, pull airbag out
    4. Gently disconnect airbag clips with flathead toggling side to side under the clip as you pull up.
    5. Disconnect ground to airbag
    6. Disconnect connectors to clock spring
    7. 19 mm to nut holding wheel with impact gun. Pull steering wheel out. I used a rubber mallet to loosen.
    8. Remove rear shroud from steering wheel by gently prying the clips
    9. Remove button panels from steering wheel by removing four Phillips screws.
    10. Remove cruise control stalk held in by one Phillips screw.
    11. Reinstall on new wheel. Reverse the above process.

When the truck was NA these were great tires overall. A good hybrid AT and MT. Dry performance and gentle offroad these do great. Wet and cold weather performance is ok. When the supercharger went on the wet performance took a hit primarily because the 280 WTQ torque is available as soon as the throttle is depressed. That with an empty bed just makes the truck slide around a lot more. Obviously there’s more traction with a full bed.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    These look kick ass bro!

@Jowett is working on adapting one of the AWD / 4WD T cases from the 4Runners / LandCruisers. :D
