X2 roof rack. Save your extra money for sliders. They act as a protector for your rocker panels, and double as a step!

i'd say roof rack. but do you wheel alot? if so i'd suggest getting the sliders just for the protection.

Do you really need to haul things on your roof? Sliders yes if you lived in rocky terrain. Nerf's are more useful, getting in and out/cleaning roof/ mine stop a lot of door dings cause they hit the boards. plus if and when you get a roof rack you'll need the bars to put things on and take them off. Only down side to bars are when getting in and out of truck you have to step out farther to pass them, and if they are muddy then the back of your pants could get mud on them. Just have to get use to them.

You'd be surprised how good sliders are at deterring door dings.

And in the EVENT you decide to wheel at some point, you're already set up.

Anyway, if you've gotta choose between nerfs and a roof rack, just get a hooker for a night.

    Will you use the rack?

If no just for looks go with the steps.

Will you go off road and want rocker protection?

If no go with the steps for possible door dings.
If yes then hold out for some sliders that attach to the frame.

    Nice gift either way.
