Hey guys. I wanted to go more affordable price wise, but feel I might have compromised me taking this truck out on any lite trails. I even feel what is the point of upgrading if not even 4x4. Any trails I might be able to take it on without killing it?

Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.
Light trails can be completely different things to different people (and different regions) so I'm having a difficult time understanding what you're asking or what you want to do.

Put some more aggressive tires on it, lose the chin-strap and predator steps (ground hooks). Depending on your expected terrain you may want to add some skids. Pair up with another wheeler and you'll be impressed with what the 2x can do.

For sure tires. Looking for recommendations based on the truck I have and what would be safe but fun. Sort of vague but just trying to get out there and have some fun.

When I was 16-18 my dad lived on a big ranch, I drove a 2 wheel drive 4Runner all over that place on dirt roads, loose dirt, mud, etc, and never had issues, I took the steps off the side and it had all-terrain tires.

Street tires aren't going to do you any favors anywhere except the street!

I had BFG KO2s on my Frontier a few years back and they were great on and off-road, but I'm sure there are many other options. If you search "tire" or "tires" in the forum search bar I'm sure you'll get a ton of results.

    Good luck!!

Could throw some traction boards in the back just in case, a shovel, garmin in-reach in case your out of cel range fooling around.

first thing get some good AT tires and like mentioned above loose those side steps.
throw some tractions boards and a shovel in the bed and hit some easy trails. You'll be surprised how far 2wd will take you.

X2 on finding someone to roll with and making sure you have straps and recovery points.

    2wd isn’t a death sentence.
All you need to keep the truck moving is traction to both rear wheels and to not get caught on anything.

    No worries.

the way 2wd (and 4wd )guys get in trouble is
    1. going somewhere they have never been (that is often way too difficult)
    2. Going by themselves without means of repair or recovery

Mitigate those two factors and your good
