Thanks dude, Also go with RCI skids. Thats what I ran on my tacoma before I sold it. I would only go steel if you plan to hardcore wheel/rock crawl the truck. I Ran aluminum skids and slid the entire truck on them a few times and they were completely fine.

 

Got some new wheels and tires on. Little bit more of a headache than I expected but ended up alright. Forgot to take a daylight pic after I finished so HMart parking lot it is.

Here's a big surprise- the aftermarket heater core doesn't fit the aluminum feeder pipes ( from the OE heater core) worth a shit, and it generally doesn't fit the cavity in the HVAC box too well. I'd need to wrap the entire thing with 2 layers of the foam seal used on bed cappers, just to keep it "wedged" into place... I called Cummins radiator, they've always been the "go-to' place for good quality items for cooling/HVAC, they don't have anything and can't get anything right now.. The one ( replacement heater core) that I currently have came from napper, it's gonna have to go back. I'm going to Auto-Plus in Forrest Hill tomorrow morning, they have a core for a Taco. I need to see if the Taco heater core might fit the 4runner HVAC box, and have the same tube routing. Ughhh The Tacos seems to have their tubes soldered into place where the 4runners use a o-ring and band clamp where the tubes meet the heater core body. Why Toyota, why.....

 

My guess: different mfg plants.

 

Who knows.. the OE core is still available, I just really don't want to spend the ~$300 for one..
